We have been to WDW several times and we have decided this year to purchase a package that contains "wishes". We have the Magical Disney Package and my DH and I are wondering what other people have used their "wishes" on.

We want to take the best advantage of these "wishes" so if you all would let us know how you used your "wishes" we would greatly appreciate it

Thanks!!!

P.S. We have a 6yr old DD (this will be her 4th time at WDW) and a 13 month old DD (this will be her 1st time at WDW). Our 13 month old doesn't receive any "wishes" due to the fact she is free.

We always use the "Silver" plan which provided us two wishes per day/per person. We used our wishes mostly for our meals. We chose character meals and the Hoop Dee Doo because these are usually the most expensive for out of the pocket costs. We have used them for the tours "Keys to the Kingdom" and "Behind the Scenes @ Epcot". We really enjoyed both tours.

We only eat 2 meals per day and on days we did the tours we got our breakfasts' at the food court at our resort. We never chose any places that required 2 wishes, just because the menus at these places did not appeal to our tastes. By all means if you are intrested in eating at the 2 wishes places, give them a try!!

We have always found the servers very helpful when using our wishes for meals. They encourage you to order all you are entitled to, (appetizer, entree, drink and dessert) even if you aren't hungry. Their tip is determined by the total of the check! We have even had them offer to wrap up our desserts to have as a snack back in our room that evening. Which we did several times!!

Our DD and SIL used wishes for Disney Quest @ DTD. They had a blast!!

One word of caution... Keep track of the wishes you use. Almost each resturant prints out the # of wishes remaining right on your receipt, but several do not. We found a mistake on OUR wishes being deducted from our DD & SIL wishes. The front desk @ our resort (CSR) took care of the problem, but if we hadn't of caught the mistake I'm not sure if the Disney folks would have caught it.

We think wishes are the way to go. We know we have "come out ahead" by using them for our meals.

I am looking into the silver package also. We would be using it next July. A wish is approx. $35 for adults. To get a good value for your wish, just make sure your meal, tour, etc. would cost $35 or more. There are no character meals that run that $$$$. The two dinner shows, nice sit down lunches and dinners, tours, etc, are all good value!!! Check out menus at allearsnet.com and see what places sound good to you. This will give you an idea of menu selections and prices. Just remember for meals that a wish includes app, entree, dessert, beverege (no alcohol), tax, and tip. Have fun planning!!!

Oh, and you might want to do a search for silver plan or wishes. You will get lots of info!!

We're going to be at Disney 04/24 - 05/05 on the silver-plan with three kids - DS14, DD13, and DS4. We looked at everything that we wanted to do or try and went from there and it came out the silver-plan really worked for us.
1. Parasailing - all of us but the youngest. This uses two-wishes but it costs $135 for one person.
2. Cirque DeSoli - all of us but the youngest. This uses two-wishes but it's approx. $80 per ticket.
3. Spa Treatments - all of us but the youngest. Will be getting a 25- minute swedish massage plus a face and scalp massage. This will also be two-wishes apeice but would be close to $500 if we paid seperately. Just a note - they discontinued the swedish massage but I had booked so far ahead that it was offered at the time - which was one of my deciding factors that I made a few phone calls and they did give us back our massages.
4. Just being able to make our meals PS's without worrying how expensive it will be. We have them everywhere! Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Cinderella's Castle, O'hana's and the list goes on!
5. My youngest will be spending two evening in the Child Care Kids Clubs in the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Contemperary Resort. This is only one-wish but includes a whole night of watching your child (at $10 per-hour) along with dinner. From what I hear and read kids really enjoy these clubs and some don't even want to leave!!:wave2: :yo-yo: :earsgirl:

For my honeymoon my husband and I booked three days with wishes (so 6 wishes each). Here's how we spent them:

Hoop Dee Doo Revue (1 wish each) - saved about $20 a person over retail price

Spirit of Aloha Luau (1 wish each) - saved about $20 a person over retail price

Keys to the Kingdom tour w/ lunch included (1 wish each) - saved about $30 a person over retail price

Hidden Treasures of WS tour (1 wish each) - saved about $30 a person over retail price

Cirque du Soleil (2 wishes each) - saved about $10 per person over retail price

All in all, the two of us combined saved about $220 using the wishes instead of paying for things individually.

All you have to remember is that each wish costs you $34, so using wishes on meals is only worthwhile if you'll be spending (with food, tax, and tip) at elast $34. For us, that wasn't the norm, so we mostly stuck with the shows and tours that also included a meal, since that was a much better savings for us.
