Package sent home

anyone know about pachages sent home from the parks.
how much do it cost.
extra or the same as the same as home.
and is this hard to do.

were staying 10 days i know myself and dw will shop.

I did this one trip. They charge something like $6 or $8 to mail it. But they dont charge sales tax when you mail it so that helps offset the fee. If you plan your shopping to be big purchases you could potentially make out since the shipping charge was one set fee and tax isnt.

When we shipped home it took weeks to get here. I have heard others say they get their stuff right away. I did this in 2002 and I think it was something like 5 or 6 weeks to arrive. I called when it didnt show up in a couple weeks and back then they told me it takes about 4 to 6 weeks.

I honestly don't know - I have done both shipped direct from store - usually World of Disney from Downtown Disney - one huge purchase and they take of shipping -

I also have shipped home from the Dolphin - that was a little more than normal - but only way was going to get the stuff home

I just did this this morning at POR.
It was under $10 for a $100 purchase, and they don't charge sales tax. I had them ship it regular ground transport.
I purchased t-shirts, a book, coffee mugs and a canister, pasta and earrings.
They told me 10-15 business days to ship. After you make your purchase, they bag it up, and then they send it to a warehouse where it is packaged for shipping. We usually receive it within 10 days.

We try to wait until the end of our trip for all those things we just have to buy. Then we go to the huge World of Disney store in DTD. We buy most of the stuff we wanted and ship it home. The shipping costs are almost offset by the lack of sales tax. It worked quite well for us just before Christmas.
