Package Pick-up…when?

Since I plan to do mucho shopping & love the onsite perk of delivery, it got me thinking. At the hotels time doesn't matter because the bell desks are pretty much available 24/7. But since they drop the packages off at the Pioneer Post (right?) it got me to thinking about hours since I assume it isn't open 24/7.

We were hoping to do the parks from rope drop to closing, but then when would I pick-up my packages? Do they staff it for late night or early morning pickups? We aren't going to have a 'non-park day' & really don't want to have to cut a day short or rush back in the middle of the day to get our stuff & take it to the trailer.

I really hate the thought of toting my treasures all day or that mad last hour rush to the shops with the crowds.

They take them to the Meadows Trading Post, and you 'must' pick them up during their normal operating hours. You would have to check, but it is not 24/7. Sorry, but under your circumstances, might be better to tote them yourself!! You could wait until later in the night, but still shop 'before' the last hour and not have to tote them so long. :goodvibes

The stores in the parks will also hold your items for two hours after purchase. We figured out what we wanted and came back later in the evening and made the purchase in that two hour window then on our way out picked up our bags and headed to the boat.

Bummer. It was so nice to 'buy as you go'. I don't mind (so much) carrying around my pins or t shirt in my backpack, it's the breakables.

I'm not so sure about the 2 hour hold. That would mean 2 trips to the shops instead of just one.

Are there lockers in all 4 parks? Do they go fast?

1) All resort packages are delivered the following afternoon.
2) Works fine, unless you are checking out and leaving early the DAY AFTER you buy.

NOTE: Once upon a time, in a Kingdom far far away, all packages were delivered to the
guest's resort room. The packages were placed with care on the desk or bed and were
seen by the guest when they arrived from a hectic day at the parks. But, then, the evil
cost cutting giant swooped down and hacked the program. Ron Popeil could not have done
a better job of slicing and dicing one of the benefits of staying on-site.

We always get them delivered to Meadows, but we tend to get the shopping done early in our trip. That would be nice, as Rusty said have them in our room, but CM are never allowed to go into a private camper/tent/motor home. It is nice to ship them back and be able to shop and enjoy the parks without lugging bags all day.

2goofy-the delivery to the front gate area may work. Out of curiosity, do you know what the cut-off time is for delivery? Like, you have to allow XX hours after purchase for it to get to the pickup area?

Sinceday1 & Rusty-my problem is that I won't be around during the Post's business hours to retrieve packages and take them to our trailer. I'll be in the parks! Unless they'd hold them all there for the entire 5 days & I'd pick them up on Saturday before we check out. Nah, don't think I could handle not being able to inspect/wear/play with/drink from all my treasures!

Looks like my shopping strategy will be more complicated than FP+!!! LOL

Oh, definitely, Rusty! I'd be sure they knew that ahead of time!

BTW, are the hours at Meadow pretty standard? I see that today they close at 10pm. When we're there I think we'll have one day where the park we're visiting closes at 8pm & Epcot closes at 9. That might create an opportunity to pick up merch mid-stay.
