We are going to ship a package of food to BWV for our upcoming trip. I have heard they are charging a handling fee for packages such as this. Does anyone know what the fee is?

It's supposed to be based upon weight, but even the notice previously posted to DVCMember.com did not have specifics. The most detailed information I have read is $3 for a "small" package, $5 for a "medium" package and $10 for a "large" package.

Just back from BCV. Shipped two boxes down via UPS. Both we in the range of 12 to 15 pounds. Both boxes were the same size, I used empty copier paper boxes. I was charged $5 for each box by Disney BC. This was the first time I got charged for shipping boxes.

On the delivery form I signed when they brought up my boxes I noticed had listed on it small, medium and large. On the form the medium box had description of 15 pounds next to it. I know one of my boxes was less but I did not want to have to deal with it.

One more question. . .
I went to the UPS Store and asked could I buy a return shipping label and then just call UPS on our last day and have them come pick up. They didn't have a clue. How do you get your stuff back home?

The past several times that I have shipped a package home, I packet up the box or boxes and brought to the front desk of BC with where I wanted it shipped and they took care of it. When we were at BWV, they gave me a form to fillout that i brought to along with the package to the front desk. The cost got charged to my room.

I found it was easier for me to use fed ex to get things back home. I just went and got a fed ex label and took it with me and opened an account online with them and attached it to my credit card. Then i just filled out the label and selected the bill to my account option and included my account number and I didnt have any problems.

We're getting an Owners Locker and leaving everything down there. I just don't want to deal with all the checked luggage fees the airlines are charging any more. And why keep shipping stuff back & forth? I've got approx. 35 Lbs worth of stuff that can just live in FL now.
