Ok I will try to explain this without confusing myself! I just went on the WDW websight and I was playing around pricing a room with the Room only discount they have right now. Well, just for fun I tried to add tickets and dining, and IT WORKED! The code was applied to a package including the dining plan. So, if you need to book this, go to the WDW sight, click on the "Great Resort Offer" button on the bottom right corner of the homepage & then click "Get Started". After you choose the resort, just add tickets further down the page, and then choose the "change package" option to include the dining plan. I also ran it without the code, and the code saves you quite a bit of $$$$$. I apologize if this has already been discovered, and is old news!:)

I tried this when the codes first came out...

Selected the resort and view that I wants and then clicked add tickets and got a message that the request could not be processed. Since we did not want dining I just went back and booked the room only and will order tickets separately.

Hey, I tried it just for fun and it worked! lol. Too bad I can't actually go! :lmao:

I tried it and it works - finally. I have Free Dining booked, but I've been trying to get into a moderate. Nothing available with this package either.

Oh well. I guess I'm stuck at Pop Century. I'm sure it will be fine.

The OP is correct. I too got it to work for me. The key is after you book your room only, then select tickets. Once you select a base ticket, it becomes a package and then you can edit to add dining. I agree, I tried this when the discount first started and it didn't work, but seems to now. Unfortunately there is nothing available for my dates Aug. 15-19, except Cabins and DVC (no value or mods).

Wow! Good for you!! It can be frustrating that Package discount do not seem to come out as often as AP or FL discount. I am not going then, but I am so happy that you were able to get the overall discount. Have fun!

I tried it and it worked. You have to do room only, then select tickets and then add dining.

I still have a better deal with my upsell code, but is was good to confirm.

Thanks for the update! I was wondering why I couldn't check the package discount code last week. I am going to check it out...though I think most is booked for my time period in August. Thanks again! :)

I just quoted the same package by the method described above but could not add Florida Resident tickets to it (as I had thought would be the case). So I flipped over to FL Resident and requoted it and the room prices per night were about 6-10 less on the moderate resorts plus I can get a three day ticket for $120 adult, versus the other way looked to be about $180.

Does anyone know if FL resident typically beats all other offers. I understand that you can't take FL resident with a total package because u cannot use two offers together, as I've been told.

I just called 407-w-disney and got the same price as the website....the girl on the phone said that they just basically charge you the regular room rate and give you dining for free!!!

are you implying that when you went thru your steps, you got the packaged deal with the reduced room rate? Or are you saying that when you went thru your steps, there was no charge for dining(ie free dining) I went thru the steps and was able to get it like you said, but it added dining in, not sure but I think the room rate on the mod was still $104(the reduced rate)

Free dining ended. I think what the previous poster was saying the new code for the discounted room is like free dining. I can see this is true if you are staying at a Deluxe resort with adults only unless you have 1 adult and 3 kids.

The summer discount rates for value resorts are $13.00 per night discount, for moderates $41.00 and for the deluxe resort $75.00.

For myself since I was able to get the upsell rate code, when I was staying at the Poly it was like having free dining plus a discount since the room was discounted at 40% ($329.00 - 40% = 197.40 a savings of 131.60 a night). Unfortunatley I had to downgrade to a moderate resort therefore my discount is not like having free dining ($145.00 - 40% = 87.00 a savings of $58.00 a night). Still a great rate, but not free dining for our entire party. However I made my own "free dining" by saving $110.00 a night by down grading. :-) Being positive here.

I hope this makes sense.

Hi...the way that the girl booked it was she charged me the regular room rate at Riverside and added dining for free....so it was the same rate on the website when u add dining to $104 rate. Sorry if this is confusing........... : )

where do you find theses codes?

Go to disneyworld.com and go to the bottom of that home page. Click on "Resort Offers'. Read the details and see if your trip falls within the dates being offered. Then click on "book your stay". Put in your travel dates and choose the hotel you're interested in. If you want a package deal, add tickets and then add dining. There are many threads on this subject.

Are you guys finding that you have to book 10 days to get the deal??
I am splitting my stay 5 nites WDW, 3 nites at the beach, 3 nites WDW.
I can only get this incedible offer if I check for 10 consecutive days. i know you can change later, but it looks as if there might be fees and charges because it is a package! Any thoughts????:confused3
