Package delivery

Has anyone been able to take advantage of package delivery on their first day?
I'm working on my itinerary and starting to think the best time to go to DD might be my first day. However I'll be checking in before noon and doubt I'll have a room number assigned that early. I know you typically have to provide your room number for package delivery to your resort. Since they no longer deliver packages to your room can I get around not having a room number?

That's a good question. I had to give my room number. Bumping for someone else. The package waits for you in the gift shop of your hotel.

They will do it before you room is assigned. Just tell them that it has not been assigned yet. They will take care of it with the resort.

One more thing: I think it can take up to 1.5 days to get a package from DD to your hotel. So if you purchase something on, say, Monday morning, I think the package is only guaranteed to arrive Tuesday afternoon, not sooner.
