Package Delivery from Downtown Disney

I hope to shop our first night so I don't have to waste any time in the parks. We are only doing 2 days and I could wander around in the shops for 2 days.
We have never been to Downtown Disney. Is the merchandise the same as in the parks? And can I get it shipped back to the resort?

The parks have some different merch. and from what i can remember, you need to have 3 days to have your package delivered. they usually arrive the next day, but they tell you that you need 3 days.

Yes and no. Some of the merchandise is the same as in the parks, some merchandise is unique to Downtown Disney, some merchandise is unique in the parks.

If you are only staying two days, you may not be able to have your stuff shipped to the room.

Any purchases made after about 3pm get delivered to your resort gift shop in 2 days.

For example, if you were shopping at Downtown Disney on Monday evening, the stuff would be delivered to your resort on Wednesday, and if you are checking out on Wednesday, they won't delivery.

Any shopping done on Monday morning would be delivered by Tuesday and that would work.

You can always have stuff shipped to your home address at any time. There is a shipping fee, but if shipped out of state there is no sales tax and there may be a savings there.

Does it go to your room anymore or just to a desk at the resort?

At most hotels, you pick up your packages at one of the gift shops.

Just last month our packages were delivered to the gift shop at POP - I don't think they do the room delivery anymore.
