Pack-n-Play

Hi all!

Here's a question I hope a cruiser with babies can answer. I know they provide a pack-n-play for sleeping babies and toddlers, but where does it go in a Category 9? Is the coffee table removable? Also, once it is set up, do they leave it that way, as I imagine it would take up major floor space.
Also, I have read they provide sheets. Are they good or should I bring my own?

Thanks!
Peg

I can't tell you where they put it in a cat 9 as I have never stayed in one. When we were in an 11 and a 6, they put it where the coffee table goes. I imagine it would be the same in the 9. If I remember correctly, the coffee table folds down and gets pushed towards the dresser (did you know the table also adjusts for height? I seem to have read/seen that somewhere, but I'll have to confirm it in Sept.). The cabin person sets it up each night, and puts it away each day (Under the bed, I think. I just know it was never in the way.). The sheets DCL provides are perfectly fine. I brought a blanket or small sheet just in case (DS has a favorite blanket) for covers, however.

Thanks, Woobie!

Your answers are very helpful and were the answers I was hoping for!

You didn't mention when you are cruising, but I will be on the Wonder July 17 with DH, DS-almost 3 and DD-5 months. I am hoping to write a detailed trip report about cruising with an infant and a toddler. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, we had a category 9 and they removed the coffee table. I had them leave up the pack n play all day since my DS was off of schedule anyway and I did not when he would sleep.

I works out well because where the pack n play goes is in front of the sofa so even though you loose the TV is on that side you can pull the privacy curtain across which cuts down on the noise and sounds from someone using the bathroom etc.

The porthole window is a very large circle window but has black out curtains so light was never a problem. In fact my DS slept 12 pus hours a night :p

Woobie is correct about the coffee table being adjustable. It is normally set at "regular" coffee table height, but you can lower or raise it.

We often raised it for our children to color or eat while sitting on the couch.

Thanks, KTHarris. I appreciate the responses. Afterall, it is your fault I am going on this cruise anyway. Thanks for the "sisterly" advice.

Peg

Dear Peg,

You also asked about the sheets. We very very happy with ours -- they had Mickey Mouse on them and DS (just over 1 y.o.) was THRILLED!
