We are booked for the Disney Fantasy in a Deluxe Oceanview Family stateroom. It has the fold down Murphy bed, a pull down ceiling bed, the couch bed, and the regular bed. It will be my grandma, my 2 year old dd, my 11 month old dd, and myself in the room. I'm planning to put my grandma in the regular bed, my 2 yr in the Murphy bed, myself on the couch bed, and my baby in a pack n play. I'm wondering where we can put the pack n play, since we will be using so much floor space already. Any insights or advice would be awesome! Also, from my understanding, the stateroom attendant can put be drains on the Murphy bed for us. Is this correct?

It is my understanding as well that the stateroom host can put bedrails on the Murphy bed for your 2yo, but if memory serves me correctly one side of the Murphy is literally right up against the wall; a Barbie doll could fall out of bed on that side, but not a 2yo.

To really fit a pack-n -play in the room you may need to have the armchair removed from the room. Then the baby's bed can fit (literally) right alongside the couch bed, at the foot end, so the person in the couch can still get out of bed by drawing her legs up toward the head end and swinging them over to the floor. This is the same arrangement we had on the Dream, except we had to deal with that armchair...

Remember, too, that once your host pulls down that Murphy bed you can barely open the bottom desk drawer. You know...the one my pajamas were in LOL! I could just barely get two fingers in the drawer to grab the jammies, so don't put anything there you will need at night!

Have a great cruise!

We stayed in a room with the murphy bed in October. We just left the pack n play where the Murphy bed would pull down at. It was out tof the way and great for nap time. It fit there very nicely. Either someone can bunk with grandma or else you may want to use the pull down bed. The weight limit is 220 pounds.

There was no arm chair in the room i stayed in.

Thank you both for your responses. I'm excited about my first cruise but a little nervous about the very close quarters. I know most people don't use their rooms much except for at night but we will be in there a lot with naps and early bedtimes of a toddler and an infant. I know we'll have fun but I'm bracing myself for a huge lack of sleep.

I don't want to put undo stress on you, but not all of these rooms sleep 5 so not all of them have the same bed configuration. There are some that sleep 4 and are missing either the murphy bed OR the pull down bunk. You can check this thread to see if your room was reported to have a murphy bed.

And if I could offer a suggestion for you. If finances allow, a deluxe family stateroom with veranda would offer you a place to go while little ones are napping. Food for thought. :goodvibes
