Hiya,

I'm not sure whether this should be here or on the family board but as it's a DVC resort figured you guys would be the best to ask.

We're staying at the BCV in May with a 4 1/2 month old baby (travelling from the UK), I know there are travel cots / pack 'n' plays in the room but I wasn't sure about bedding.
Is this provided, if not can anyone help me with what size sheets they take?

In the UK travel cots as we call them come in different sizes, would I be better to buy a couple of sheets when we get there for it?

Thanks

I've never stayed at BCV, but all Disney hotels use the same pack 'n play. It's made by a company called Graco, and Disney does supply a tight fitting sheet. I wouldn't worry about trying to bring your own, it's a nice sheet, and replaced by housekeeping.

We were in a one-bedroom villa at the BCV about two months ago and our daughter slept in the provided pack 'n play while we were there. A disney-themed fitted "sheet" is provided with the pack 'n play, and our daughter (already a big disney fan!) liked it a lot.

The only issue is whether or not you would want a "spare" sheet in case there was a night-time accident. (Our children tended to spit up a lot at that age, plus diapers can leak.) You could bring a blanket or two (or sheet) to use in the even of an emergency...If you will be staying in a one-bedroom or two-bedroom, you will have a washer/dryer handy in the event you needed to wash the sheet, and the spare blanket/sheet would get you by until the provided sheet was clean/dry.

Does anyone know how "soft" the BCV pack-n-play mattresses are? We spent a week at HHI in June with our 2 mo old, and the pack-n-play (which was, I think, an Evenflo model, not Graco) was old enough that the middle of the mattress sagged and the baby just wouldn't sleep in it - she ended up sleeping between us in the king bed. We'll be at BCV in a couple of weeks and we don't want to have to take our own pack-n-play if we can help it. I'm hoping these are new enough that the sagging mattress isn't a problem, but should we bring one of our pack-n-play mattresses just in case? We're driving, so it wouldn't really be a space problem for just the mattress.

Mur!

The "mattress" my daughter slept on seemed plenty firm enough (without being too hard). It was pretty much identical to the construction of the Graco pack 'n play that we have at home.

I think the pack 'n plays at the BCV were all new when the BCV was opened back in July, so most likely they are all still in pretty good shape. The one in our villa still looked brand new.

Enjoy your stay at the BCV! We love it! :earsboy:

We were just at BCV with our baby and had two different rooms there over the course of our trip. The Pack 'n' Play was nice, new and in great shape with a "firm enough" mattress/floor. However, in neither room was a sheet provided and we brought two of our own. They sell them in baby stores or on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t.../103-1006563-2112653?v=glance&s=baby&n=507846 (I just did a search for Pack n Play sheet). The sheets are $9 each and very small to pack, so this was easier for us -- plus we didn't have to wonder if our baby would have a skin sensitivity to the hotel laundry soaps.

However, in neither room was a sheet provided ...
Well, that's strange. We had one in our room, so I assumed that was the norm. If you had not had one with you, I would think that you could have requested one from housekeeping. (I hope that's the case, as we return to the BCV in a little over a week, and I'm not planning on taking a pack 'n play sheet with me.)

I just remembered that I took a picture that showed the pack 'n play sheet (in use, of course :) ):

(In case you can't tell in the picture, the print on the sheet has little Mickeys, Plutos, Donald, and Goofys alongside alphabet blocks.) And no, Pooh didn't come with the crib...but my daughter doesn't go anywhere without him!

Oh bless, SamR, what a sweetie. And I'm not just saying that because she looks exactly like my little girl! :D

Hi PoohBearsFan - good to see you back.

Actually when I was at AKL, there wasn't a sheet either with the pack 'n play. I called housekeeping, and they brought one right up, so I'm sure they could do the same at BCV.

In addition to the pack-in-play you can also request a crib. While smaller than a normal home crib, it is quite good and inlcuded bumper pads. We used the Disney crib at non-DVC Beach/Yacht Club about 4 years ago and were very satisfied. We are going in late May 2003 and staying at BWV and have reserved a crib.

The cribs at all WDW resorts, are the same size as the pack 'n play, just raised off the floor. I know this, since I brought a pack 'n play sheet from home to use in a pack 'n play, but I got the crib. My sheet fit perfectly!!! If you really need a full size crib, go to www.abbf.com They rent full-size cribs, to people staying at WDW resorts.

Thanks everyone :)

I think if the cribs are the same size as the pack 'n' plays, we may as well just stick with them as they're already in the room.

Thanks for all the replies and for the pic of the gorgeous girl too :)

Hiya Becky also, it's good to be back, I'm getting the hang of this one handed typing!!! lol
