I am in the market for a point and shoot. I would use it for pictures of grandchildren, pictures at WDW, scenery, etc. I would like something easy to use. We do have a DSLR and use it for wildlife pictures, etc. I do not have a price range for a point and shoot and no preference for brands. The local camera stores are brand heavy and I would like an unbiased opinion. I would also like suggestions for an extremely easy to use editing software.

Thanks in advance. I really enjoy looking at the pictures posted on this board. I could never hope to be as tallented as most of you are in your photography ventures.

First off for editing software, what do you want to accomplish with it?
Be easier to recommend when we know what you are trying to achieve.
If its just cropping and some minor touch ups, usually the software that comes with what ever camera you buy will do that for you.

As far as camera, you will get a wide array of opinions here. It all comes down to personal opinion. Some like camera brand A, some like brand B, some like brand C and so on. Each camera has its own pluses and minuses.

I would recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements for editing. It has a basic touch up section and a full layers editing section.

I have no idea what is in the P&S market these days.
