Has anyone ... DVCers ... ever tried doing the Owner's Locker thing? Let me know as we just became DVCers about one weeks ago and our first trip as DVCers will be in Sept. Thinking the locker thing would be a good idea.

Current offer is spectacular. Visit their site. You will only hear good things here. Those guys are great.:thumbsup2

I got my Owner's Locker in August, and I love it. It's a great way to leave some things that you don't really need at home behind so you don't have to lug as much back and forth (my luggage is at least 10 pounds lighter on a trip now--which is a huge thing with all of the new luggage surcharges).

I leave sneakers in there. A polar fleece jacket for those chilly evenings. Toiletries. A picture of my niece and nephews to make the room more homey when I'm there. This time, I left behind a change of clothes so that if for some reason my luggage is delayed, I have some clothes in my locker to change into. It's a really cool thing.

I just returned from BWV and my first time using my OL. I dragged 2 suitcases--loaded with stuff--and went home with clothes and a Tink birdbath with lots of leftover packing space. Everything is in the locker. I cannot believe I hauled so much stuff back and forth for years. I now need only one bag to travel. :-) My life has been simplified! :cool1:

Haven't seen anybody that wasn't tickled with them. We drive, so taking the stuff we need back and forth isn't enough of a hassle for me to need one.

Hi Joni,
Give a shout if you need any details.

Thanks for the kind words, gang!!

Grandbuddy...don't rule us out because you drive. We have lots of Members who come here by car. Even though you may have plenty of room in the trunk, for many of our Members who think of WDW as their second home, it's more convenient to duplicate many household items and just keep them here.

Don't know how we lived without it! Awesome idea, awesome service from John and Brian. We just got back from a long weekend in Arizona and seemed like every day we kept missing having an Owner's Locker and the extra things we keep in it.

We will be visiting our locker tomorrow at SSR and its great to only have to pack what clothes you need and meds. Oh and shoes. We are also bring down one more queen sheet to leave behind. And service has been great.

I saw the banner ad on another page and clicked on it but now I can't seem to find it again to send to DH.

What is the current special for DIS members?

Thanks!
Kelley

Thanks to everyone who responded......its a thumbs-up for me. I'll arrange it soon for my next Dis trip in September!

Owner's Locker is great!! We used ours for the 1st time in January and have it filled to the top!!! It's great not having to pack sooo much stuff. It makes travel much easier. DH just asked me the other day if we should think about getting a second one!! The service is top notch too!!!

Kelley, from the Disboards home page, check Disney Vacation Club; then scroll down and you'll see a purple banner which has a special right now. I just signed up ... easy!

I could not reply to your messages...not enough posts yet! Question: When was THAT pic of you and Amy taken?

I love my locker.

And you can't beat the service. On my last visit I put in the WRONG resort. (Just a note, there is something else called Saratoga in Orlando) They called me and said "Are you sure you didn't mean Disney's Saratoga SPRINGS?" They say that other place is SCARY!

It's this kind of service and the ease of packing carry on since my toys and stuff are in Orlando that will keep me using them!

At Mel's Wedding! Don't you love it? As soon as I lose 10 pounds, I am cutting and dying my hair like that again. Its over-frumpy hair be gone!

I used my locker for the first time last week and it was great. I had it delivered to the Swan, where it created a lot of curiousity and had it picked up at Boardwalk where they are pro's at handling the lockers. The bellmen at the Swan seemed really curious about what the locker was for and why it was so light. I told them it wouldn't be light for long ;)
The service was great and the locker holds a lot of stuff. I will be packing lighter from now on. It seems so nice to not pack shampoo and coffee filters and umbrellas and large coffee mugs and countless other items that we stowed away. I'll not be without my locker as long as we have DVC!

Hi Rob,

At this point we are storing golf clubs for our existing Members. We are still working on a golf Locker but we're currently using whatever travel bag our members have.
