Owner's locker??

Love, love, love Owner's Locker. John and his team are wonderful. There are lots of threads on the board. You may want to enter Owner's Locker into the search and read the previous threads. Welcome home!

We have it, for a locker and for storing golf clubs. Now that I have it, I wonder how I possibly could have lived without it before. Also, the service and care provided is first rate and the head of the company literally does treat every customer as the most important person in the world.

Yes, we use Owner's Locker! Yes, we think it is worth it!

We never drive to WDW but usually fly. (Arrived twice by ship through the Panama Canal but one doesn't often have this luxury.) As such, I'm limited in what I can pack for each visit. I *love* leaving things behind in that locker for future visits: a decent knife and cutting board (for when we book a studio); juicing machine; kitchen stuffs; bath stuffs; rain ponchos; flip-flops; etc.

Edited to add: I'm now debating if I need another locker to add decent bedding! I'm did not enjoy the new "no comforter" bedding make-over and am considering storing a duvet with filler? Ah, hmmm .... seems excessive but it beats coming home sick battling chills and cold.

We would totally use them if we needed to, but we drive so we are creating our own "locker" (a large tote) that will keep things permanently packed that we will need at our villa like a crockpot, beach towels, salt/pepper/spices etc.

I have heard only good things about the OL service.

LOVE our Owners Lockers. We feel they're completely worth it. We have one with personal items in it and one with our 'office' in it. Not sure how we would get by without them. Great service! If I find my list on this laptop I'll post it, otherwise I'll need to wait till I'm on my home computer. It's amazing how much you can fit into a locker.

Okay, did a search on this laptop and didn't find my Owner's 'list', so once I'm home I'll post it. If you don't see it in the next couple of days, give me a shout. We're going to have a couple of our grandchildren (twin 3 year olds) with us for a few weeks, so life will be a little busy.

We, too, love our Owner's Locker. We actually did a one week trip with only carry on's in a studio! We figure that our yearly fee is paid for with the luggage fee we are NOT paying!!! Nothing like having your own things in your home away from home. Worth every penny.

We love Owners Locker! I do have to warn you about one small thing...it's addicting and you will want to leave more and more in your Owners Locker. We had to get a second last year.

One other side effect is it's difficult to travel anywhere else - I'm too spoiled not having to pack everything. If only OL could ship it to other destinations :thumbsup2

I can affirm the comments of others. I can also add that the convenience and customer service are without equal. I can't think of vacation money we spend that gives us more value.

I just wish I had more "fun" things in my OL. It's mostly care items, like meds, hygienic items, kitchen supplies...boring!

Owner's locker is one of the fun things about being at DVC member. If you have a small enough group, you can fly with a small carry-on. Stop schlepping all that stuff on your trips and let OL handle it. :)

;) I first got an Owner's Locker and DH thought I was nuts...until I packed it to leave it in Orlando. He turns to me and says "can I have one of my own?" so we have two. He keeps his special blanket and a Expedition Everest Jacket in his...along with 100 aliens from Toy Story....which he sets out under the TV each trip...yes, he is crazy. My OL is called "Duffy" and his is called "the Pooh box". He has 4 t-shirts, a camera bag, Iphone charger, etc.

In mine I keep PJs, toiletries, under garments, two t shirt dresses and various kitchen items and over the counter meds. I even have a few decorations for Christmas and Halloween.

One main problem with the OL ( in fact the only problem) is they can be difficult to store out of the way. So DH places them on top of the armoire in our room at AKV or in the recess where the connecting door is. Works great. We have never had a problem with either locker or the service we have received.

If you travel to Disney at least twice a year they are awesome. We are gradually getting to the point of wanting a third locker for just clothes. DH then only has to bring his camera equipment and me..my purse.

We have one and we think it is great!
We leave all the sunscreen and beach towels and that sort of thing in there so we don't have to drag it all back and forth. We do have to periodically throw out all the expired stuff, but it is nice to only deal with new sunscreen every few trips instead of EVERY trip!
I also have a blow dryer in there because I don't like the ones in the villas.

We are also big fans. The convenience is more than worth it and the service can't be beat. For our last trip I forgot to fill out the form for delivery. When we arrived at the villa I realized my mistake. I called and it was delivered in a few hours. John does everything possible to keep members happy, even when the mistake was mine!

Go for it, you will not be disappointed.

We just got OL last fall. We filled it that first time by bringing things down in a suitcase and ordering from Walmart with delivery to the hotel. We keep small toys, bathing suits, rain ponchos, flip flops, toiletries, first aid, and food items like seasonings, olive oil, microwave Mac n cheese etc. whatever makes like easier with a toddler!

We had it delivered for a short weekend trip in January but I'm really looking forward to having it for our weeklong trip this May. I agree that if you go two or more times a year it's a great convenience. We fly southwest so we could bring the hard goods every time without cost of luggage, but since we'll typically be in a room with a kitchen, it's nice to have the kitchen supplies without having to order/but at resort prices, and to leave them there for use the next trip.

Love having our OL! I look at as saving on the cost of checking luggage. We just do carry ons now.
We store kitchen stuff, a small Christmas tree/decorations, over the counter meds , collapsing water bottles, air mattress/sheets, towels, toiletries, brita filter, rain ponchos, heaven knows what else! Lockers hold a lot! We keep the list of OL contents on line and update it just before we lock it up and depart the hotel Aeschylus trip. This helps us know what we need next time. Service is absolutely excellent!

We love our owner's locker!

We don't use it to save on luggage but more to keep random stuff which make the stay better. We keep a Keurig coffee maker + pods in it, liquor bottles (1.5 L vodka, 1.5 L dark rum, 1.5 L regular rum, .75 L gin), beach bag, beach hat, nice wine opener, left over non perishables (i.e. red bull, diet coke, beer), large plastic beer steins for pool use, and DVC clothes (i.e. polo's or fleeces) which we would only wear at Disney. We originally got it to store the Keurig and the liquor but quickly realized the utility of leaving other things in it.

It is addicting and in a few weeks we will be filling our 2nd storage locker. I agree with other posters that it is hard to travel to other places and not have our storage locker. For us, it is totally worth it to have decent coffee and not toss unused alcohol at the end of the vacation. We have been working off the same liquor bottles since October 2009 = awesome!

Plus its fun to see the names of our lockers on Owner's Locker on our arrival day - two weeks from today we'll see Storagemaster 3000 and Storagemaster 4000 listed on Facebook!

The online list is one of the great tools related to having an Owner's Locker! I love that I don't have to trust my memory of current contents -- but can open the list at anytime for review. I use the 'Comment' field of each line item to track when an item was added to the locker along with its current supply (ex: "Talc: 9oz container, added 6/2012, 1/3 remaining").

Love my lockers.

Traveling is stressful even when everything goes smoothly. When I'm finally in the hotel room and can open my lockers, it feels like home. I can start to relax. (And wash my face and brush my teeth, because I leave special soap, moisturizer, and an electric toothbrush in my locker.)
