Owners Locker is the BEST

The guys have done it again!
We made last minute plans for WDW. All we could get on Friday with an AP rate was CBR for Mon-Thurs. nights this week even though we would be staying Sun-Fri. Setup online with OL for a Monday delivery. Yesterday at 9:50AM as we were arriving at WDW I called one last time to CRO and we finally got what we wanted, 5 nights POR AP rate starting 2/14. Immediately called OL and let them know of our plans. I told John that he did not need to deliver right away and that today (Monday) would be just fine. Gas is expensive and we had what we needed for the day with us. John insisted that he wanted to, and would, deliver our locker as soon as he could, and sure enough at 11:38AM I get the text that it’s here at baggage claim. LESS THAN 2 hours from when I let him know of the change!! This was a date change also.
These guys are the greatest and always go above and beyond. This is just one more example.

They really are terrific. I somehow thought I had booked our delivery but realized I hadn't when we arrived at our resort. I called, hoping to have it delivered the next day, but they delivered it that same afternoon. I was beyond impressed and thankful.

Still thinking of getting our own locker. After this last trip my husband finally admitted it just might be worth it to not have to take an extra checked bag. What would we put in our locker? Here's just a few things I packed to bring home that I would have happily left in "sunny and warm" Florida:

The two blankets I bought to survive a COLD Wishes and Spectromagic
ponchos
umbrellas
travel coffee mugs
white noise machine
sweatshirts
whiskey (got dumped)
bottles of water (donated to mousekeeping)
breakfast bars (donated)
glow sticks
Mickey Ears
autograph clipboards/markers/paper

We like our OL to store things we use at DVC, but also to reduce packing. I have some t-shirts, shorts, socks, etc. that I don't need to pack to bring to WDW. We can do a trip with carry-ons(though we sometimes take an empty bag for stuff we buy to take home). We fly Southwest so we don't pay for checked bags, but still it's cool to not have to schlepp all the stuff on a plane.

Our next DVC trip is to DL in May and we are SO sad not to have our OL with us! Man oh man, I wish it could arrive and have all of my stuff that I need! I guess we'll just do without at DL, lol!

They do a terrific job, I would recommend them to anyone.

I agree - they are top-notch in service! They have a similar level of service with their stroller rentals, too. For those that do not yet know they now rent strollers, you can check them out at magicstrollers.com.

OLs need to come with a warning that they can become addictive. We now have 3 of them. One is dedicated to Christmas and the other one to my DH's and his friend's Lego Trains they set up around the tree in the villa and for those trips that they just want to "play" with them.

Kudos to both John and Brian for prompt, accurate service. We had to cancel our trip last week because our flights got cancelled. We sent an email to them and they responded right away.

DH & I were just talking about this & decided to add a second locker for our May trip with the intent of keeping it full of clothes so all we'd need were carry on bags.

We typically fly SWA as well but if we only have carry-ons then we would open ourselves to other airlines as well.

Plus it means we'd get to our resort quicker if we're not waiting at baggage claim

I'm kind of a big baby when I sleep - every member of our family uses a white noise maching at night. It's impossible for me to fall asleep when the power goes out and I don't have that noise. It helps drown out other noises too, especially when staying in a hotel. We started using one with each of our sons when they were babies. I think having that familiar "noise" when trying to fall asleep somewhere different really helps them. They are great travellers when it comes to sleeping in new and difference places - so long as we've got our fake waterfall going in the background!

I am already missing the fact that we can't have our owners locker on our Med cruise in 2011!! It would be great if they could work out a deal with DCL to get everyone's lockers loaded onto the Magic before it leaves for Europe for the summer!! Then they could just be delivered to our staterooms with the rest of our luggage!! GOSH what a luggage saver THAT would be!!
