I made a reservation with my own name and recently called and added a guest. Now the reservation lists me as "guest of owner." Annoying. I am going to call again to have it corrected, but I was wondering if it would effect anything if it was left unchanged. Anyone know? Thanks.

I believe it's a bug in the reservation system. If anything, your KTTW Card will not have DVC on it. Really won't affect anything regarding your stay.

I was checking our july reservations yesterday and noticed the same thing. Since i was calling about something else i asked them to correct it and they did.

I have now been relegated to guest of owner in three on-line reservations in the last year. It has no impact on anything.

at the bottom of your reservation entry - there is a line (check this if this is a guest)

sometimes the thing is already checked - you want to uncheck it for you.

so next time - look at this thing before you go with submit.

We just came back from VWL where our 19 yr old son (who we listed as guest of the member since he isn't a member) was listed as the number one guest on the reservation. Everything was in his name, including the ME for our other guests. We told him he could pay the bill that was going to be left.

It happens when you ADD someone. Happened to us, too. I emailed (used their form? can't recall if there's an online form or I just emailed straight to them) with our guests' names, and it somehow changed my husband, who IS the owner (though I'd just left me and DS as owners as well), to "guest". There was no reason for DH to have been "touched" at all, but touched he was.

I wrote them back asking them to change it. Just bugged me. During our first trip, in December 2010, everyone in our party of 8 had "DVC" on their keycards except me, who was the planner of the whole thing, and it bugged me then, too, but not enough to have my keycard changed.

I have not added anyone but as soon as the new website went live, I was moved from the first person to a guest of the owner. DH is listed as the lead now and he is an owner too so I guess I don't care, I just hate that I planned this and I am now a guest. I have no idea why this bothers me but it does.

This happenned to me back in October, my husband and I are the DVC members, and I was the only one whose KTTW card didn't say DVC. My husband asked about getting it corrected (just on principle) and was told they would have to cancel and re-book the whole reservation, to which we said NO THANKS, we know what can happen when that happens !
And I just checked our reservation for this April, and once again I am a "guest of owner", so I'm guessing it must be some kind of a glitch in the reservation system. Oh and the October ressie was made by telephone with MS and the April ressie I made online, so it isn't just an online reservation system glitch.

All of my upcoming reservation have me listed as "guest of member" to even tho I am the member who booked the vacations. I noticed this happened when I linked the reservations to my "my Disney experience" account.

We just got back from a BCV/BLT stay. I made both reservations in my name. When we went to check in at BCV, they couldn't find the reservation. Long story short, it had been switched into my 8 year old daughter's name. Her card said DVC member, as did DHs, but no one else's. Very strange. Fast forward to BLT check in, the reservation was still in my name and all 6 of our keys said DVC member. This didn't impact our trip, but it was definitely unusual!
