Owl Post questions

For those of you who have gone already, how exactly does it work for you to mail items from the Owl Post?

I know I saw something about postcards, but what about postage stamps?

And do you actually put the things in the mail there or do you just get the 'cancelled' marking on your stuff and mail it elsewhere?

And if they do sell all the things we need, how reliably have they been keeping it all in stock? I know I've heard some reports of things being sold out around WW.

We have a list of people to mail to from inside WW, but I'm wondering if I should bring my own postcards and postage.

They have stamps for sale.

And I saw some envelopes people had in their hands already marked, so perhaps you can bring envelopes to the counter and they'll makr them before you drop them in their post box. I suppose if you just drop them in they'll makr them too before it goes out for the official post office.

Thanks!

So were the stamps special HP ones, or were they just your standard postage stamps?

Special :)

Nice!

Did you notice the cost for a package of stamps? I'm assuming it's more than .44/stamp (for all you wise guys that were going to answer $4.40:laughing:).

Do they sell nice postcards that I can send out with the stamp on? My friend would love one, they've got to wait until next Jan to see wwohp so I can send a little magic their way to get them through.

They do sell postcards and stamps, and they do run out of both. We mailed ours ( to home and to friends ) last Tuesday and have yet to recieve them so it does take a bit longer. They must not collect mail daily there.

Remember that an OWL will need a little longer than the "normal" mail... :rotfl2:
And you´ll have to send one owl per postcard... :goodvibes

:rotfl:

Is it possible to buy one stamp. I'd like to do like I did in Lapland and send one from there back to Ireland as a souvenier but I won't need like a whole packet of stamps for that!

Just beware that the Owl Post is very small and can quite easily get overcrowded (due to size of the store, Ollivander's empties into it, and it is the store where they also sell the wands).

All the shops are built quite small and cramped, but the Owl Post seemed the worst to me.

Did you get the regular stamps in the park yeah??
Coolio can't wait to see all this stuff :) Think it's less than 100 days now yippee!

That's alot for stamps. Can't you make your own from sites like zazzle.com? It seems by looking at the HP ones, this is what they did with a company...

I wouldn't think so because of copyright. But I know what you mean. I have ordered stamps from a company like that.

I just looked at the photostamps website (you can see photostamps and stamps.com in the picture), and their prices are high:

1st Class Letter 1oz $0.44
18.99 for 1 sheet
16.99 per sheet for 2 to 9 sheets
14.99 per sheet for 10 to 99 sheets
13.99 per sheet for 100 to 249 sheets.
for more, contact them...

Of course, those prices are for 20 stamps on a sheet. :upsidedow
