I will definately let you know about POFQ! our first time there and really looking forward to the resort!

oh how sweet! hope he will get to cook with Mickey....you are going to Chef Mickey's aren't you, maybe they could work something out for him!

That's what I was hoping for! I'm sure he'll be feeding all the characters as they come around... or at least attemtping to. He is such a ham!

Kam danced at the Dbacks (MLB) game last weekend and I thought I'd post a few pictures. I have a blog that I update all the time, and I just wanted to share on the boards. http://owensheart.com .. stop by anytime! I update a few times a week!

Owen was being crazy on the way to the game. We had my neice, Gigi, riding with us to the ballpark and the kids were WIRED!!!

Kam and me hanging out. We ate so much junk food and Dbacks took the game 4-1 and that win got them to the playoffs!! Woot!!

Joining in! You are going to love POFQ. It is such a peaceful resort and a small one too, so not too hard to get around. If you use disney transportation, the only problem we ever have there is coming home from Epcot of MK at night. The buses are packed! So, if we stay at those parks till closing we drive over. They also have a boat to Downtown Disney which is awesome!

I asked for tons of advice when picking a resort and this was the main reason I picked FQ. I really wanted a small resort so it was easier to manuever Owen around. The last thing you want after a long day at the parks is to hike a mile through the resort to get to your room. We are renting a car as well, so we can choose to drive or ride the bus to the resorts. I have never been to the world, but I hear things are pretty spaced out. We are so used to Disneyland.. we just stay at the resort and we walk through Downtown Disney to the parks.. we never even see a bus or our car the entire week we are there. So.. we are in for a much different.. larger scale experience!!

I've heard about the boat to Downtown Disney and the kids are probably more excited about that than actually being in DTD.

wdw is so much bigger than dlr....if you are park hopping make sure to give yourself plenty of time if you have ADR's to make, plus you have to go through security each time you switch parks too.

The boat is a neat ride too! You ride past the treetop villas and they are cool! We even took the boat to POR for dinner one night. It is only a mile walk on a nice path, but it was fun. At POR you can take a horse and buggy ride which is really neat! We always stay in building 4 because it is right near the bus stop, but we have been lucky! I hear it is booked the week we will be there, so who knows where we will be!

We have been to DL and what a difference! We never got in the car or a bus!

We loved POFQ when we stayed there. It is such a quaint place. I felt like I was in the movie Princess & the Frog

We are so excited!! I let Owen pick out a Halloween shirt at Target this morning and of course it's a Mickey Halloween shirt! We watched the Walt Disney World movies on Netflix and Owen said "I'm going on ALL of them rides!" He has no fear.

We also got our custom Disney Maps in the mail last week and he has been looking at them non stop. He loves to say "Wanna read my maps?" He tells me stories about which boat he will ride (Epcot) and how he is going to walk into the castle (Magic Kingdom) and then he's going to ride on the mountain rollercoaster with the monster (Everest).

I am so crossing my fingers and pumping him full of food in hopes that he will hit the 40" mark! He is dying to go on Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, Spiderman, and Tower of Terror! I don't know that his oxygen will be allowed on those rides, so we'll just unplug him. Shhh.. don't tell cardiology! Kidding. He'll be fine for five minutes without oxygen.
I need to go snuggle by boy and watch 'Spooky Buddies'.. did I mention we LOVE Halloween time!? Love it.

We are SO excited!! I love to hear all these great recommendations from POFQ! I spent hours upon hours reading reviews on all the resorts and they all had their pros and cons. I set a budget and that put us in the moderate category. I almost reservered CSR, but then read about how HUGE the property was. POFQ will be perfect and I found some photos from Christmas time at the resort and fell in love!! I'm excited! You'll have to try Disney at Christmas sometime.. it's magical! We were at Disneyland last year at the same time and the kids LOVED it!!

Surprise!! We have been selected to be recipients of the BIG GIVE!!!! ​

The first package couldn't have come on a better day! Kamryn had EIGHT baby teeth pulled this morning. As soon as the novicane wore off, she smiled for the first time and we both broke down laughing! She says she looks like a rabbit and she is never going out in public again. Ha! We had a good laugh and I told her to just laugh at herself, or else she'll go crazy. This is just the next step to getting braces (HOPEFULLY, next month!) and moving on to a perfect smile!!

Anyway.. I ran to the mailbox looking for an item for a blog review and imagine my surprise to find our first MICKEY MAIL!!! My kids had no idea and were so excited, I convinced them to clean the entire downstairs first. Go me!!

Our first package was from Disname MOMMY2MRB!!

Both kids thought the Mickey card was cute.

Owen let Kamryn open her package first.. I think he had no idea what to expect. I'm pretty sure he isn't going to be so generous next time now that he knows what to expect.

While Sis was opening her gift.. Owen was being a ham and said "Tate a piture of the tard Mom.. did you det it? Let me see!"

Kamryn loved every single thing in her packages. She got a new Tinkerbell lanyard, word search, Tink pen, glow bracelets, chocolate money, stickers, a makeup bag with lipgloss and a tink compact mirror, pedicure set, tink paperclips (adorable), bookmark doodles, a tink watch, and a water bottle. Whew.

It was Owen's turn to tear into his package and we didn't have to ask him twice. Owen got a coloring book, crayons, cars bandaids (which he thought were so awesome), a cars watch, a plane, chocolate money, card game, cars lanyard for his pins, stickers, silly putty, glow bracelets, a buzz pen, a water bottle, and some Cars that he didn't have yet!! Way to pick them out!!

Owen loves his Harmonica!! He can't blow hard enough to make sounds, so he just makes the sound and pretends to blow. Awesome!

Both kids got very generous gift cards that they can't wait to spend at Disneyworld!!

It was MY turn to open my package and the kids were like "what??"

There were luggage tags for all of us!! This is so perfect because I do not pack light and we each take a GIANT suitcase each. Carson's is never full, so he gets the souvineers to pack on the way home. Now we all have our own luggage tags! Thanks!!

Carson was at work when we got the package and I told him we would wait... but I lied!! After Kamryn and I got done cracking jokes about her teeth and laughing so hard we cried.. I thought there was NO way we could wait three hours for daddy. I promise we will wait in the future. It felt like Christmas without him.

Thank you so much Lisa and Megan!! My kids are now spoiled rotten and they love everything so much!! I put everything in the box and took it upstairs, but I just found pieces of silly putty strung all over the couch and the culprit just brought me his watch for the 100th time to put it on!

You are so awesome and we are very grateful for everything!!!

Just wanted to let you know we did the whole teeth pulling thing and it does help. We are in month 2 of braces. We still have to get our bottoms put on. Hopefully Kamryn isn't in too much pain.

I made the kids a countdown calendar today!! On Sunday, we will be officially at the 50 day countdown. I just threw it together in Photoshop and had it printed into a 16x20 poster. The kids are so excited!!! I think I just scored major "Mom is COOL" points!

I'm trying to decide if her permanent teeth come in if we should put braces on in November or wait until after our trip. I can't remember how long it took me to get used to them.. it was a long time ago!

Miss C got her braces on August 18th and we left for Disney on the 26th and she has been fine.She had no problem adjusting. We did 12 months with a pallette expander too though. It took about 4 months for her teeth to start dropping down to where they needed to be.

Oh.. I sure hope it doesn't take 4 months... she will go crazy! Good to know your daughter adjusted to braces quickly! K didn't need a palate expander, but she has a spacer to hold the bottom teeth in place until the top ones did their thing. I can already see her teeth breaking through the gums!
