Well i have extra points to burn due to getting last years points from my add on. We had the trip of a lifetime in December - 14 nights split between disney and cruise - first trip in almost 5 yrs.

Fiance and i are doing dvc trip for october honeymoon - 1 wk disney and 1 wk aruba (he is a newly converted disney fanatic - he used to hate themeparks).

So I still must take kids on a holiday pre-honeymoon - either last week in May or late july early august. Have always wanted to go to hhi, but am toying with the idea of their and disney.

New Disney Fanatic wants disney - as it is the only place in the world he wants to go, and besides, our AP's don't run out until december - so, he says, it will be cheaper to go there than anywhere else in the world - the entertainment is included - and now we also have DDE - he is learning too quickly!

Youngest DD wants to do Disney late july - we can do 9 nights then instead of 7.

DS wants to do late May - Disney WLV - we can only do 7 nights but it is sooner.

Me, I like all scenarios - HH would have been nice - but i am doing disney in October and it would be cruel to deprive the kids for two years. It would cost no more than hh - as disney fanatic states above. Flights are dear inboth May and August, so can't use those comparisons to choose. Because of school, we could do a couple of extra nights in end july august to cope with transatlantic flights. I have visited august but not may. Please make suggestions. We did consider late august but too close to honeymoon.

Hi,

I have been to HHI in July and I loved it. The island is beautiful and you can visit Charleston and Savannah. But I will warn you it is HOT! I have been to WDW in May and in July/August and whie it was hot during both trips, May was more tolerable as far as humidity and crowds.
HHI is a beautiful resort an has a great beach house. Many of the "sight seeing" is outside and you walk alot. The weather in May may be better but Im not sure. My parents also went in July and returned in November and they enjoyed the Nov. trip much more.
Have you been to Vero Beach yet? Maybe you can divide your stay between WDW and Vero for a "change of pace" Vero is only about an hour to an hour and a half from WDW. Then you can have a few days to relax by the beach and a few days to do WDW. Also in May I think EPCOT usually has the Flower and Garden Festival (Cant remember what its called) but its beautiful. They have various things set up throughout EPCOT including butterfly gardens. The flower displays throughout the park are beautiful too. So if you haventy experienced that, that may be something to consider as well.
The way I see it.....you are in a win-win situation..... you get to get away to a great place no matter where you choose!

Good Luck!

Heather
