Overwhelmed... going in March

Yep! I really would send you the book!

PM'ing is easy. Click on my name on the left hand side. From there you will get a list of things. Click on the "send a private message to". From there you will be directed to a page where you can send the message. I have a heap of stuff to send out today so I can have it in the mail this afternoon.

The Unofficial Guide has lots of useful information and suggested touring plans, but be forewarned it could also add to your sense of being overwhelmed. It has TONS of information. One of the things that I like best about it is the info about how the rides load and capacity per hour. Two lines of the same "length" in number of people may have very different "lengths" in the number of minutes it will take you to get to the front. Sometimes what appears to be a long line is really not a very long wait time. So knowing which attractions are popular combined with which attractions are slow loading gives you a good indication of the problem spots- especially if there is no FP option. The other factors are: crowd levels and the length of the attraction. On our last trip in October, which occurred when the parks were very busy, we got the following done in a single hour during our Saturday MM early entry:
Peter Pan - (as someone else has said on these boards - "PP first, always first")
Dumbo -
Alice- (Mr. Toad opened a little late or we would have done this next)
Teacups
Mr Toad
Matterhorn
(Casey Jr train and canal boats were down during our stay, but I usually try to hit the canal boats right after the parade, b/c they close the line for the parade). If we hadn't had to back track to see if Mr Toad was open, we probably could have gotten another ride on the Matterhorn in but it was approaching park opening at this point, so DD and I hit Space Mt GG while DH waited for the FP machines to open (at park opening). We then went to the Subs and were on with less than a 10 minute wait. The sub ride is open during MM and we could have gone here earlier, but as we knew the Ghost Galaxy overlay on Space Mt. was very popular, we wanted to get a ride AND a FP for it ASAP. The sub ride takes a while to load and complete - which is why the lines can get long for it. If you go here first on a MM entry day you might have no wait, but the lines to the other attractions will build while you are on this attraction. As you can see we did not do Snow White or Pinocchio during MM. In my experience , the lines for these attractions do not build like the other Fantasyland rides and can often be seen later in the day with little to no wait. I do not plan the whole day like this. I usually develop a plan for the first hour or two of each day, and work out the parade/night time entertainment decisions, but allow for more flexibility/spur of the moment touring for the bulk of the day.
