I know this has been covered before, but the threads I have found really do not answer my question. They seem to mostly cover "Shrek" sized men tall and moderately overweight where many of the Disney answers are from more "pooh" sized people like us; me, 320 & 5'7 and my husband 285 & 5'8Also, they seem to pretty much just reference the rollercoasters.

I will be riding everything with a 5 yr old and as much as possible with my 3 yr old, so I need info on those kind of rides for people my size. We are leaving Disney after 7 days to check out universal for the first time and I am starting to think we may not want to spend 1/2 of our vacation there, if we can't ride on much

any info is really appreciated

I'm 265 standing 5'8 and have no problems at all on the rides. They do have certain seats on the coasters for shreck sized peeps like us!:thumbsup2

There are test seats outside of Hulk, Dueling Dragons and Revenge of the Mummy...not sure if the Rockit has test seats or not. The seats are there so if you are concerned, you can try them before making the long trek to the entrance. The larger seats Hulk and Dueling Dragons are in rows three and six of each train. Look for the seat with the two buckles. On RoTM...they will usually put you in the back row which has more leg room. The only other attraction that might be of concern is Ripsaw Falls...that may be a little tight.

Last trip I weighed in at 300 lbs and wore size 48 pants.I could not ride Hulk and Dueling Dragons or Dr Doom.I had a very hard time with Mummy and Dudley. My weight is in my stomach and chest.

On Rockit, row 3 has the larger seats (not sure if row 6 as well, but it's possible).

There is a test seat outside of Dudley...to the left before the attraction entrance.

Dudley will be an issue. I'm 120lb and 5'4" but it's a squeeze for me to get in there - you have to get your knees right up to your body before you can slide past the lap bar. My partner is 6' tall and it was his HEIGHT that stopped him getting in.

Never had a problem with anything else. Saw someone who must have been about 5'7" and 300+lb trying to get on the Hulk though - the TMs tried everything to get that restraint to 'click' but no joy, they will have a go and we only noticed because we were next in line for the same row.

Like people have said, try the test seat. On the Hulk, I just asked for the large seat when I get to the front of the line, and they just placed me in the right row without a hassle. It seems like most of the rides with potential issues are in Islands of Adventure. In Universal Studios, you should have no problem at all. Things like Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, Simpsons, Men in Black, ET, etc., are all no problem.

This thread reminds me of that "Chubby check on aisle three!" video that I've heard a million times by now in the Rip Ride Rockit queue (by the way, for you pooh sized people, row three on the Rockit can accommodate those of larger size as Jason pointed out earlier in this thread...not sure of the max it will take).

Wow, that must be a tight fit. 120lbs and 5'4" is nowhere near large (in either weight or height), so if you have problems, I'd imagine a whole lot of people would.

A man had to get out of his seat on HR3 today because the bar wouldn't close. I thought I heard them say they had a larger seat that they wanted him to try.

HR3 also has a max height requirement. If you're too tall you can't ride :scared1:

Yep, I actually saw them height check a basketball player-sized guy once. Quite a change from the little kids trying to stand on tip toes.

I think the taller you are the harder it is to fit-- my husband could not fit even on the larger seats- he's not that big and there were shorter wider people that could fit.

The restraint system is really weird- nothing I've seen before.

My understanding, and I may have heard it incorrectly, was that they were afraid that people over a certain height would have the reach to hit things if they rode with their arms outstretched (like I do).

I am six feet tall and my one bit of wisdom would be, never ever ever get in the front of the ripsaw falls ride. It was quite a maneuver to get my legs out in time. When I finally got out the cast member said to me, " They never should have let you ride in front."
