Overstock has the Refurbished 3G Nook

Just got an e-mail stating they were back in stock. Price is $139 so if you can wait I would. They're Out of Stock at B&N but they only want $119 for it. The overstock price is still a good deal if you need it for a christmas present.

I saw them at ebay yesterday too. What is the difference between the refurbished sold by Barnes and Noble on their site versus their ebay store? The BN ebay store is listing it for $119. I think I really want the color nook now. I wonder how long it'll be before the color is available refurbished....

The B&N ebay store offers wifi only for $119 and wifi/3G for $139, both with free shipping, but they can not guarantee shipping in time for Chirstmas. Estimated delivery is 12/22-12/28. I ordered mine from them on 12/16 and it has already shipping out of NJ via ups, supposed to be here Tuesday.

Thank you for this! I had a 10% off overstock coupon that it let me use, so I got the 3G for my dad for Christmas for 125. I had been trying to decide if We were going to get this for him or not. Now....how do I get the thing set up for books? Can I do this before I get the device so when I turn it on, the books will be there for him?

The last time I looked at the nooks on ebay, B&N had sold 300+ of the Wifi's and 350+ of the 3G's, and they still have 4 days left on the auction! Does B&N REALLY have 650+ REFURBISHED nooks sitting around? Or do you think these are new and they're just trying to sell more?

No, I think they really are refurbished Nooks. The estimated number of Nooks sold in the first month was 60,000. During the fiscal last year it is estimated that they've sold at least 146,000 so I'd say this number is less than one percent of total Nooks sold, and given that I've had two replaced under warranty for a cracked case and lots of other people on the Nook boards have complained of this problem and having their Nook replaced for this problem, I'd say that this number is more than reasonable.

I love my Nook....and I was sure I wasn't going to like it. It's sooo much easier to carry around. I highly recommend it!

I also got an email stating back in stock, the day OP started this thread. I did order a nook that day and it has arrived today. It is charging now. DS and I will share it. Hope everyone that ordered it then and with the great $99 deal their's too.
