Overstock.com changing prices?

This morning I was looking through the Previously Viewed DVDs on overstock.com. I found the "Agent Cody Banks 2" DVD for $1.00, and I have a free shipping code. So, I knew that was a great deal, so I ordered it. Then, my sister decides that she wants a copy for her kids, so when I just logged on, the same movie was $4.00. I was really confused at that point, so I clicked the button for live help, and spoke with customer service, who had no idea why that would happen. While I was chatting with him, I went back and clicked on the same DVD, and it had changed from $4.00 to $3.00 within 2 minutes! Has this ever happened before to any of you? I told customer service that I would be passing this info to all of my friends who shop their site. So, make sure that you check the site for a couple of hours before you purchase anything!

Many online retailers have variable pricing. It's not really consistent what they base variances on; the most compelling bases are typically past purchases, but I've read reports that some sites even use doubleclick cookie-based information.

Overstock is one of those sites that will ahve diferent prices depending on how many times you have visited their site and where you are. I ahte that! If you didn't already submit your order, can you change the quantity of the $1 price? If you submitted, you can call them and change quanity too.
