overplanning/obsessed mother needs your opinions!

Yep, that is me a overplanner and newly obsessed Disney fanatic! We leave for WDW on Monday and I am second guessing my plans.

DH really wants me to cancel our CRT ADR because he doesn't want to go to MK that particular day (Aug 31st) and thinks that the Cindy's ressie is more for me that for DD (and what does it matter if it is for ME!?!)

Now that we read more about the early Fantasyland hours for Magical Beginnings he really wants to do that instead, thinking our daughter will enjoy that more. (these are not on the same days as our CRT breakfast).

And now that we know what a pain in the backside getting Wiggles tickets will be, we need to rearrange the schedule to accomodate that too...as DD loves the Wiggles more than the princesses and most anything else.

I guess I need opinions or encouragement...is CRT really that great? Will I /should I regret cancelling the ADR? I can't "wait and see" because I don't want to get stuck with paying for it if we can't go (isn't it a 72 hour cancellation notice?)

DD is only 2 1/2, she won't really know or care if we miss the Wiggles, Cindy's Breakfast or anything. I am sure we'll be back someday (hopefully soon).

Oh why did I bother with all this research and planning only to change my mind? I brought this all on myself.

Don't worry. You will have a great time whether you go to CRT or see the Wiggles (or see neither). WDW is so huge it cannot be done in one trip (or 2 or 3 for that matter). Just go and have fun. Change your itinerary if needed. With a 2 1/2 year old you can just take it one day at a time. If your scheduled day works out, great! If not, just realize plans change and go with the flow. I'm looking forward to the look of amazement on my DS 2 1/2 's face. Ater all, that's what it is all about.

That's really a tough one. I just got back with my 2 daughters, 3 and 4.5. With all the shows we saw (Playhouse Disney, Beauty & the Beast, Muppets, etc.) they still talk about lunch at the castle and seeing Cinderella as the #1 highlight of their trip. They loved seeing Little Einsteins at a lunch and seeing performances, but the experience of the castle is more intimate and sticks out in their memories more vividly. I guess because it's up close and they actually talked to Cinderella and the other Princesses. With the shows the characters weren't as approachable, so while it was fun during the show, they didn't get to interact with them and make them a reality.

I wondered about our lunch being worth it, and I have to say it will be on our itinerary for every future Disney trip from now on. We all had great food, great service, great atmosphere, and the girls got to talk to each Princess (Aurora, Snow White, Belle and Fairy Godmother) plus Cinderella. Also, the lunch includes an 8x10 and a set of 4 3x5 photos with Cinderella. Gorls get a wand; boys get a sword, and they all get wishing stars that twinkle. I'm glad my girls got to have a one-on-one experience.

Hmmmm......we went to CRT last year for breakfast - to me it's not worth the price more than anything. The food was okay - and our experience we were rushed. Not to say it's always that way. And I didn't think DD (almost 2) at the time really enjoyed it that much. Now however that I didn't do it this year DD keeps asking if we are going to have breakfast with Cinderella - I told her no that we would be having breakfast with the other princesses and she comes back with "but Cinderella will be there". So I'm wishing I had planned on it. But she will have a good time and we will find time for her to visit Cinderella. So as someone else said - you will have a grand time no matter what you decide!! And honestly we went for "ME" last time too.

We went to the castle for breakfast last year w/our DDs aged 4 and 1.5. It was nice. It was definitely something I wanted to do for them, and just being in the castle was great. Was it their favorite thing of the trip? Not really. My youngest LOVED the christmas parade. That was her highlight. And on the trip, her favorite character was Goofy. Older DD liked meeting Aurora in Epcot. Aurora was her favorite of the trip, and I guess still is, since thats her costume for Halloween. I would say if youre unsure, you could skip it and do it next time. There are so many things your DD will enjoy there, and if its the Wiggles, do that. They're not always there.

If it is Cindy you truly want to see, you could always consider 1800 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner on a day that is more convenient for you. Not to mention Prince Charming has always been very handsome!!! Ok I will stop he is Cindy's but I am still a princess waiting for her own prince charming.

You will have a wonderful trip no matter what you decide

Thanks guys...I really shouldn't second guess myself like that! I think I am keeping the reservation for CRT. And we'll try for Wiggles tickets, but try not to be too obsessed about that...if it is total mayhem it is totally NOT worth it!!!

Anyhow we couldn't get a reservation for CRT (I was in the hospital delivering a baby when I should have been on the phone!) - but I did make one for the Princess Breakfast at Epcot. No Cinderella, but possibly Belle, Aurora, Snow White & Jasmine.

I think it's a good idea to keep CRT. After all, you can only dine with Cinderella in her castle at Disney! The Wiggles take their show on the road all the time... You can probably catch them close to home, with less heat and crowds.

Where are your priorities, lady? Don't you know you should have arranged for a C-section in advance to make sure NOTHING would interfere with your CRT reservation making. I'm sure your doctor would have seen the sense in this plan!

LOL when I was on the phone making the reservation she said "let me check CRT if you want to dine with Cinderella" and I said I'm sure it's long been booked. Then I told her I was having my son (and it was a planned c/section LOL!). I also told her because he caused me to miss this ADR he's not coming to WDW with us this year !!!

IMO it was a once in a while event. I didn't enjoy the breakfast. The food was awful so I was definitely paying for the princess interaction. I was disappointed Aurora didn't show but dd's favorite at the time was Snow White and she wore her Show White dress.

I love the picture and for me that was worth the money.

I wouldn't worry about CRT. You can always go next trip! And most likely your dd will be more into the princess thing then!
