:goodvibes Just a short trip report on my wonderful Disney honeymoon.

DH and I are both 36 and this is our second marriage. We delayed going on vacation for 2 months due to obligations at work so this was a much needed vacation.

August 31- Sept 4

Now for the short and sweet.. :goodvibes

Thursday I had to work but Dh had took 2 weeks off to get ready for the trip. I had pack a month ago so all he did was purchase toothbrushes and underwear. ( and a surprise for me!! )He picked me up from work and we went directly to the airport. We landed in orlando at 8:30, found magical express and was on our way. I am so excited. I can hardly stop talking and then I looked over at him and he is taking a NAP. Are you kidding me :bitelip: Well anyway we get to the desk no waiting (please give us a upgrade...)gave the CM the documents ect. and we get upgraded to a poolview room with a kingsize bed yes... :cool1: I asked howmuch to upgrade to savannah and he said $45 a night. I said we will take it but they didnt have any rooms, so we grabbed the room keys and off we went to find the room. we were on the 2nd flr I cant remember which room but the lodge is bigger than it looks and it took a view minutes to get to the room. I looked forward to relaxing and ordering a nice romantic dinner in the room and talking about our trip ect. So when we got to the room I was disappointed to find no bathtub.

Because I get leg cramps and it I just love baths. I called the front desk. I was told the onlything available was on the 1st flr (does the akl have a 1st flr?). At this point I told him to upgrade me to anything available and we would pay the difference. We went on hold so long when I turned around DH was sleep again.

He finally came back and said that they wouldnt have anything until tomarrow and we would have to move in morning so I said never mind we would stay put. 10 min later Robert called and said that we could move to the 5th floor poolview deluxe at no extra charge.. :cheer2: :cheer2:

So we were off to a very magical stay.. :Pinkbounc by now DH was awake and complaining about how hungry he was and because it was past 11 the only place open was Maras so down we went.

I ate the shrimp and the 6 fries that came with it and he had african stew which he loved .(not quite the romantic dinner I planned but it was good enough) By the time we got done wondering around the lodge and checking it out the fruit and candy basket I ordered had arrived but still no luggage.

FRIDAY

Luggage!!! We slept late and went to epcot no waiting for anything ate lunch at Lotus Blossom Cafe--We had spicy beef and Fried rice very good

We had drinks at San Angel Inn..very romantic but the food was not good at all nothing we at agreed with us later :guilty: We started to walk around but by the time we got to Japan it started to RAIN so we hats and went back to the resort. We had 8:30 res for Le Cellier so we caught the bus back at 6 so we can do test track, soaring, and misson space. left to go to downtown disney and had a great time.

SATURDAY

Saturday was MGM day and we decided that we would get a early start and made it to the park at 8:30 Rode all the rides and took pictures and was done by 12:00 the park was dead in the morning and was closing early for a concert so I dont think anyone bothered. :goodvibes My DH wanted to go back to Downtown disney he loves to shop. It took a hour to get there but we went and walked for store to store again, then back to the resort.

We decide to take the art tour but no one showed up so we hung out in the room until it was time for the culinary tour at JIKOs. The chef Dave was wonderful and explained the cultures and different food at JIKOS and Bomas. I would never have tried the different things unless I knew what it was it was wonderful and we had dinner at Bomas after that. We were STUFFED and then we had the Hddr at 9:30 we had the best time.

SUNDAY

Sunday was MK day and I didnt have anything scheduled so we hung out at the lodge. I love AKL but at night it creeps me out so we walked around a lot during the day. :lmao:

I started to notice that Dh Really isnt feeling well and is having a had time with his asthma, he is very tired and trying his best not to ruin my trip. So I let him sleep in and go down to Maras to get breakfast. He eats but goes right back to sleep. I go down to see how much it would be to catch a cab to Walmart and was told $50 round trip. :guilty: I caught a bus to Downtown disney and caught a cab from there and it was $12 each way  to walmart. By the time I got back to the resort it was after 2.

I went right to the room. Anyone staying around room 5462 on 9/3 I am so sorry for all the noise. Not only was he awake but he was worried and upset because I didnt tell him where I was and he couldnt get a signal on his cell from the lodge. Boy was he mad :furious: then I got mad and we went back and forth until I said this honeymoon sucks and I want to go home. and started to cry. He didnt say anything for a few minutes , he just let me cry which made me mad, then he said he was sorry and told me how much he loved me and that he was just worried. Good enough for me :lovestruc He really is a great guy not very romantic (my surprise was a DVD player :confused3 ..no flowers??)but very loving. Meanwhile it started to rain and rain so we decide to go to the mk anyway in the rain with ponchos that he bought and they were so thick it was like walking around with a tent on.

We ate at cosmic rays and later at crystal palace. Cosmic rays wasnt as good as I remembered we shared a chicken and rib platter and the ribs didnt taste good. Crystal Palace was very good. It was emh at MK and the park was crowded. We grabbed a dole whip and went back to downtown disney for the clubs. After being stuck at contemp for 30 min we just went back to the lodge to pack for tomarrow.

MONDAY

DH was feeling much better today and was up really early, he wanted to get a early start and today was checkout. so we finished packing and decided not to leave a tip for mousekeeping because we tipped everyday and the candy that we left on the floor by the table on friday, was still there meant she had not been cleaning just making the bed up and giving us soap. the table had crumbs on it and I clean up a lot everyday. We decided to move our breakfast plans to 7 am at bomas to go to AK. and boy was I glad we did the sufari was wonderful all the animals were out and we got to ride the everest with hardly any wait.

Happy Late honeymoon to you both......thanks for the report and all you did.....how did you like Le Cellier....taht is my favorite place to eat.....and I like to see what I eat so Mexico didnt hit it right with me either......thanks again

Okay, I gotta know what was so important that you needed to get to Walmart? :rotfl: You should have left a note for DH. I bet he was sick with worry. Lecture over. :goodvibes

I went to get him some sinus medicine, gatorade and pick up a extra suitcase. We stayed 4 nights with 2 large overpacked suitcases
( he NEEDED 4 pairs of sneakers ):lmao: after we purchase all of those disney must haves we had no where to pack them. If he could find a way to the outlet we would of purchased alot more stuff. I am a shopaholic but he is even worse than me. he loved downtown disney. :goodvibes

We LOVED!!!! Le Cellier it was the best meal on Disney and the service was excellent. We are big eaters and we couldnt eat all the food on the dining plan. because I purchased water and gaterade ( no liquids on plane)I didnt want a drink with my cs meals and she let us get 2 snacks for the trip home worked out wonderful I got peanut brittle and 2 boxes of cookies which where stale. We also used our snack credits downtown disney. DH loved the dining plan and was happy to get fudge, cottoncandy, and a dole whip. We will do the dining plan again.

It is good to be home but we both agree that we miss being at disney. That time together was priceless :cloud9:

ps He said leave a note..it wasnt like I would get eaten by the Tommies...I had to come back :teeth:
