Looking for suggestions for a place to spend the night on the way home. We live in NE PA and usually drive straight thru but coming home on a Saturday in the summer I think traffic will be bad and since I'm the only driver dont want to have a melt down. Thanks

I suggest a hotel. :lmao:

What time do you plan on leaving? Any kids with you? How old?

Personally, I would just keep driving until I get tired. Then find the next exit with a hotel.

I was thinking just drive til I've had enough. We normally drive in September or October so there is no vacation traffic. Wasn't sure if there is a greater savings trying to book before or just pull in and ask for the best rate.

I will have my 19 year old daughter but since she is "too busy" to get her license I'm the only driver.

Planning on leaving Orlando by 10am at the absolute latest.

Since you have someone old enough to help, about an hour or so before you want to stop, have them get online find hotels that are coming up. Give them a call and see what they could offer.

Emporia, VA is about 12 hours from WDW...(more or less depending on traffic and number of stops, but it's a good estimator). So, if you want to drive 'till 10 pm, aim for there. Otherwise, pick someplace south of VA. :goodvibes

And there's a Starbucks. We always try and stop there on the way down - there's one of those giant truck stop style stores with a Subway and a Starbucks attached.
