We headed up early early March 4th, and arrived at ASMO, at 8am,,,it took us 55 mins to check in, have NEVER had this wait time before at ANY of the resorts, there was only ONE Cast Member working sign in, when we DID get up there, we did get a nice room that was ready right then, so that was a plus, as now it was POURING down rain, lightning, thunder, the whole works. We had already eaten breakfast on the way up, so going to get a bite to eat was not an option. Looked like we were going to be stuck in the room for a while..This was also my DH birthday,,and I had planned a little CELEBRATION, for later that evening,,,,but I figured--what the heck,,we are NOT going to the parks in the lightning,so let the celebrating begin lol,,,,,NOW I will SPARE you the details-LOL, and also I would not want to get kicked off the boards LOLOL(hello monitor SNUGGLES---heehee)---well I noticed the rain stopping after a couple hours (THANK YOU GOD!!!) I declared celebrating was OVER--we are going to the MK. LOL My main mission on this trip (well next to my husbands happiness) was to get my FAREWELL TO MSEP LITHO. We headed over to Exposition Hall, signed the farewell card, and finally claimed my treasure.. (we were able to get three--one per passholder)they let us have one for our sons pass, even though he was not with us, that was nice. The LITHOS are great, I wish I knew how to get a PIC on here for you.
Well, then it was on to the RIDES...park seemed to be empty, maybe due to earlier rains, we went right on Winnie the Pooh ride, then got off and went right back on again all within about 5 mins, no line at all,,,,same with Peter Pan 2x in a row, SnowWhite,2x in a row, over to HM 3x (I LOVE THAT ONE) we went on SmallWorld, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, GE. Buzz...We could not believe that no one was coming back -- was EVERYONE CELEBRATING LOLOL.......we decided to Ride the Train around the park once and get off at the Main Street station and claim a spot for the MSEP....we got some drinks and POPCORN and got a great spot..we had 45 mins to wait, went by very fast.....The MSEP was WONDERFUL as always, and it was sort of sad to think we may not see it in person again, (I think I said this LAST time it retired lol)After it was over I told DH he picks where we eat dinner, since it was his DAY (well OK except for the I AM GETTING MY LITHO PART LOL). He picked (Of all places) Trails End at Fort Wilderness-----he LOVES it, so what was I going to say!!!!!!! It was fine as always, and as always we ate to much. We took the boat back over to the Contemp. and went to the top, for that WONDERFUL view. We had a GREAT day, and DH said it was a nice Birthday (we did miss DS--but he called during dinner to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY--that made DH happy)..The next morning we went to check out the New POP-CENTURY as this is our next trip on Opening day!!! It is coming along,,,can not wait. It was a GREAT overnight trip!!!! Looking forward to POP CENTURY in Dec. WOW, only I could turn a ONE DAY TRIP into a SHORT NOVEL..sorryyyyyyy so long....
