I keep seeing "overheard at WDW" threads, so I thought it might be fun to start one for USF, IOA and CityWalk.

Here are two to get the ball rolling:

Location: Twister

Mom to 4-year-old daughter in her arms: "It's not a tomato. It's a tornado."

*****

Location: Nickelodeon's Game Lab.

Host interviewing 5-year-old boy who had been picked to be slimed: "Are you having fun here at Universal?"

Little Boy: "Uh-huh."

Host: "What did you like best?"

Little Boy (after long pause): "Black Men, Alien Attack."

The host nearly lost it.

"Is the Triceratops really a real dinosaur?" I have been asked this question several times... by adults.

" So, how much of the original studio did you have to demolish to build Islands of Adventure?"

"Can I use my park hopper here? In the commercials it says I can use it at all the parks?"

"Where's Pocahontas?"

At Hulk Greeter:

"Does this roller coaster go upside down?"

At River Adventure Load:

"Don't worry (to her very young child), it's just like Pirates of the Caribbean"

At Doctor Doom entrance:

"What's this ride do?"

and of course the ultimate Seuss Landing question:

"How do we get on that ride?" (pointing to McMonkey McBean)

....or the complaints from guests because they "came all this way" just to ride the roller coaster in Seuss Landing (huh? yep...once again McMonkey McBean!)

"When is Barry going to cut loose on some of that $200 million dollars he has?"

I've heard alot of people complaining that they didn't see superman or batman in MARVEL Superhero island.
:)

on the hulk in the loading station:
me: have you ever been on this ride?
girl: no husband says this is good.
me: do you know anything about this thing?
girl:nothing.
me: are you sure you know nothing?
girl: nothing why?

during the launch:
girl: what the heck is this thing doing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

after the ride:
me:wanna do it again.
girl: ouch!!!!! she says as she trips over he feet

Not sure this applies here, but I was once asked if one could take the Monorail to Universal! ;)

Wow! This is a great thread.

I haven't been to Universal in a while, even though I didn't hear this, I saw some goofy guy in his mid-to-late twenties with a can of corn on his backpack.

:confused:Like he was actually going to eat it or something. Sheesh, this world is full of nuts.:jester:

Oh my God!! The corn people have infiltrated Universal!

More people to knock out of your will, Barry.

The most often heard question at Universal - "Which way to Earl's office?" :p

As I was grabbing an early coffee at HRH one morning: 2 kids were excitedly urging their parents, in a distinctive European accent, that "The pastries were just set out, hurry before the Americans wake up!".

Hey, I resemble that remark!
Jim

Last June at Nick tour the host ask a little girl if she was on vacation and she said Yes, Make a Wish sent her to FL. He asked if her wish was to come to Universal and she said no it was for breakfast with the princesses. He then ask if her second wish was to come to Universal and she said no, it was to see the castle. He ask her if she wished to come to Universal at all and she said no! He decided to move on at that point.

"Hey, that guy over there (pointing) has $200 million dollars!"

Yes, it happened in the just the past few days ...

woman left on the scoop covering her eyes after the ride:
is it over yet, i cant see!!

When the Spiderman ride broke down while we were riding it, we sat for about ten minutes in a completely gray and unmoving room. Noone knew what was going on, finally our car began to move, but no sound or visuals were on. As we approached the area to deboard the car, the ride attendant said "Sorry, Spiderman has left the building" my son, very seriously then said..... "When is he coming back?"

Do you know how we get to that big ball, to which I replied................

Exit the park.

get in your car.

Take I-4 westbound and follow the signs for Epcot!!!!!!!!!!
