Overflow parking

I"ve seen references to overflow parking on here. When I look at the map - what is it near? Is it the same area as where day visitors park by the enterance?

I was thinking of going to CM on the morning we head home (if we are able to get ADRs). And I wasn't sure what would be easier. Loading the car, returning the cart, parking at the overflow parking, check out & then using Disney transportation there & back. Or trying to drive to the Contemporary.

We went to WDW in November, and found we were very overwhelmed by the size of WDW and got turned around very easily. Is the Contemporary easy to navigate from the fort?

I know I'm thinking far ahead - but that does seem to be a common practice with Disney vacation planners.

It might be quicker to just drive over, as you leave FW turn right and turn right at World Drive which will lead you to Contemporary. You can go to Mapquest and it will show you street level or Aerial views. I do believe one of the boats go's there too..

Thank you Becky, I checked mapquest - I don't believe I have ever used that service before. It really did help a lot. A lot more than the maps in my guide book. WE got turned around badly just trying to get from WL to FW - for all the reading/planning it never really sunk in just how massive WDW was until we got there.

Agreed it would be quicker to drive to Contemporary. Keep your parking pass for FW in the car with you - it's good until the end of the day you're checking out.

Otherwise you'll have to take a FW bus from the overflow lot/outpost to the marina and the boat over (and reverse it). Pretty time consuming.
