Thanks for the prayers on Friday everyone, I felt the support.
I finally got to meet my mom's accountant, and I like him and the way he works. He is doing a great job with things, and is a great support for her. He's expensive, but I think worth it.
The lawyer he had us go to was very good as well. This guy took the time to explain half a dozen procedures (3 very important) that were never even *mentioned* to us by the other lawyer, let alone explained, and told us how he would proceed if we wanted him to take the case. He spoke *English* as opposed to Legalese, and was very patient, repeating things several times as needed. She and I both walked out of there much more confident in this guy, and she plans to hire him once he gets the paperwork written up for her (which will be today or tomorrow).
Now comes a request for some more prayers. She's going to have to fire the previous lawyer, and this is causing her a GREAT GREAT GREAT deal of distress. She doesn't like the idea of *firing* anyone, even though the previous lawyer totally deserves to be let go. She's a wreck about having to walk in and demand her paperwork/materials back and fire the guy, then face living in the same town with him and his son. Doesn't matter that she's never seen these two in 14 years of living in the town, nor does it matter that any professional who gets lets go is going to be "grown-up" about it. She's a mess about the situation. So if y'all could keep her in your prayers specifically that she can be at peace that letting this guy go is the RIGHT thing to do and is okay morally? The accountant is going with her again since this guy's office really only responds well to MEN and tries to intimidate women.
As for the gardens that we went to see -- that was nice.
Did take all day, and for a normal situation the garden tour wasn't worth the hour drive to it, but in our situation it was the right thing to do to break the emotional cycle a bit.
Thanks again everyone, and once again, please keep this situation in your prayers. My mom (and me too, but her especially) really needs all the prayers she can get. She's running out of strength both emotionally and physically and she and I are both concerned that she's heading toward a nervous breakdown or a collapse.
