Just wondered what strategies folks have used to get their young kids to experience attractions that they may be reluctant about. We've been to WDW with our kids (DD 4 1/2, DS 3) and, of course, we never pressure them to do anything they don't want to do. However, I was reading one of the guides and they recommended talking to the kids ahead of time saying things like "Mickey would never let anything happen to anyone..." and such. So, does anyone out there have other suggestions?
Also, DS is rather sensitive to noise and it seems that every time we experience a loud attraction or fireworks, this really detracts from his enjoyment (we had to leave HHDR last time after the performers raucous entrance). We've tried cotton balls before, but it isn't comfortable for him. Anyone have a suggestion on this?

but I can always hope.
