Overbooking at the Portofino

We will be visiting Universal over the Easter holiday. I have booked two nights at the portofino Bay hotel through HotelKingdom.com. I have read some disturbing reports that people were denied a room( that was previous reserved)and were sent to another hotel because they were over booked or people refused to leave. I amlooking forward to staying at the Portofino hotel and staying at a different hotel would not be acceptable. Is there something I should be concerned about and what can I do to prevent this from happening to us? Thanks,

Unfortunately, overbooking does happen on hotels, as it does on airlines. One good way to ensure that you have a room is to leave a credit card deposit. You might want to try to check in as early as possible. You can check in as early as 7 am.
