Overbook area

I have seen the overbook area mentioned in other postings but I can't find any information on it. We have been trying to get a campsite reservation for February 3-5 since November but it has stayed fully booked even though it is listed as one of their "slow" seasons. I check every day, several times a day, hoping to find a vacancy but have not had any luck so far. Any ideas? What is this overbook area?

I even called FW to see if they would have any anticipated openings directly and they said that with one loop closed for refurbishment of the comfort station, they didn't anticipate any availability. It's a little irritating since we wouldn't need the comfort station and would love to have one of those spots.

I have never heard about an overbook area. Your best bet is to keep on calling and checking the Disney web site.

No they do not have an overflow or overbook area. Winter weekends are often booked up. Lots of Florida's residents go for the weekend. There are also many sites taken by snowbirds ( seasonal sites) . I made reservations for Feb. about 1 year ago, and already have booked reservations for Feb. 07.

Nh camper,

You're always going in Febuary as I ca see???

Wow !!!

We will be there in febuary for the first time in Disney. From febuary12 untill the 18.

Hope we will be having good weather.

ciao

Very rarely is the weather bad in Feb. Have a great time u-all.

we are going through the same process, trying for reservations in Feb, it is getting increasingly more difficult to get a campsite at the fort for any time of the year it seems. :confused3

I argee with Disney Campers, it is getting harder to get a spot at the Fort. We really have tp plan in advance these days .

I think what the OP may be thinking of is the overflow lot. This is a parking lot next to the kennels where people who check in before their campsites are ready are allowed to park for a few hours. There is no overbooking area at FW.

Someone must have cancelled or else they are reopening one of the loops early because I was just able to make the February reservation I had been trying to make since November. Yeah!

With regards to the loop being closed for refurbishment of the comfort station -----
The 800 loop is currently "semi-closed" for comfort station upgrades however there are a handful of campers in it. Maybe only 5 or 6. So if you don't require the need of the comfort station, you possibly could ask and get located in that loop. Right now there are currently empty sites which surprises me. We are in the 700 loop and there are several empty sites.
