I am looking for an OVER THE TOPONLY carseat cover with a flap that can go over the face.

I have a JJ Cole bundle me and I don't like the way it zips up around the baby with no face flap. It does not seem comfortable for baby or easy to use if you have to practically unzip it all the way anytime you want the baby to be able to breathe.

Any suggestions?

Search for Sunshine Kids Snug Big carrier cover and the Goldbug carrier cover.

Those are the 2 I know of.

The latter is sold at Walmart, among other places:

Check Amazon, Meijers, TJMaxx or Marshall's, Babies R Us.

I'd be so worried about that flap falling down, over the baby's face as we were riding in the car

The cover we used didn't go over the carseat canopy, so we just put the canopy up if it was raining, snowing or very windy, to keep the elements off of DD's face.

do you have a burlington coat factory near you? their baby depot section is one of the only places i've found the type of cover you are describing - in both heavy duty winter weight and a lighter weight one for spring/fall. i believe they are online as well.

I live in Wisconsin and I just bundled up my DD in a fleece bunting with legs and tucked a blanket or two around her. As long as the car was warmed up before I left the house we were OK and we were never at someplace where the car got super cold. The time from the car to the store/etc wasn't all that long.

FWIW, it's really easy to overheat a baby in a car in the winter. Any kind of car seat cover should probably come off once you're in the car.

We have this one, it fits over the car seat like a shower cap. It's called the Easy Cover

We were given the Snug Bug by Sunshine Kids as a gift and love it. There is a velcro patch to keep the flap open when you want it open, and it zips below the face hole. Easy to pop on and off our car-seat carrier...I usually pull the car-seat's canopy up also for extra coverage.

Good point - we live where it can get unbearably cold out (below zero with wind chills nearing 40 below at times) and always unzipped our cover all the way once DD was in the car.

They have them at Wal-mart and even some on ebay (hand made in a way you want). We used a reversable one on our oldest because he was born in ND in a blizzard...LOL our luck.
