Over the river and through the FUN!

I have pictures of that epcot CM with the football!! Isn't he HILARIOUS!! I just died laughing when he was teasing people in line! Thanks for the soarin pics. Just today DAvid and I were talking about Soarin when we were driving home and listening to Illuminations! Can't wait to be there!

I love that CM. The past two times we went to EPCOT, he was there. Both times, he would laugh and say," Look at all you trying to get in while I'm trying to find a way out." He was very good with the crowd. I hope he is there next month when I go. Yippie! 26 days until we leave.
Glad plans are still on for you to go next week, MeMom.

Yes, that was one of the great selling points on our house. The yard is a half acre. There is lots of room to run and play. Last spring we fenced in the backyard so now we can juts open the back door and let the dog and Brooklynn come in and out and play.

I don't know about you Jill, but I think having a fenced yard with the ages of our kids was our smartest decision ever. They love the freedom and I love the safety!

It looks like you and Brooklynn had a great time together. Even with her scared and mad faces, she looks happy. I am sorry it will be so long until you see Brooklynn again, but I am glad I will get to read about another trip. So, the trip is definite now? I hope you have a great time.

I enjoyed seeing how you and Brooklynn spent your weekend. I remember playing with my stuffed animals that way too!

I'm another who loves Soarin'! It's just makes you feel so free, even if it is simulated! :goodvibes I love going over the ocean with the surfers!

And tell Brooklyn to send some of those pancakes my way!;)

Oh wow!!! That is all I can say about the Soarin pictures!! I could just smell everything as I looked at them!! Awww, thank you MeMom!!!!!!

I'm sorry to be so far behind, guys, but we've got two sets of state people coming today and tomorrow, Math Festival tonight, class pictures, and after-school tutoring going on this week.

All that and the kids are crazy wild knowing they're almost out for spring break.

I will check in after the Math Festival tonight and see what kind of fun things you guys have been up to all day, and I'll catch up with responses as soon as time allows.

I console myself with the fact that I will be standing beside the Hippy Dippy pool by lunchtime one week from tomorrow! :hippie:

That's such a nice thought to keep in mind.

Hope you all have a good one!

Good luck with everything, MeMom! It's final exam week here so things are crazy as well! We still have three and a half weeks until our spring break though.

Hold onto that Hippy Dippy thought -- it's such a nice thing to think about. :goodvibes

We know, we know! You get to go to WDW ALOT! Stop rubbing it in! ;)

HAve a good day MeMom! :teacher:

Those pics of Soarin' are GREAT!!! Last time we were riding Soarin', when the ocean scene came, DH leaned over to me and said "and then BAM! a shark jumps out of the water and bites you in your leg!!" :rotfl: We both had a good chuckle out of that one. His favorite parts are the hang gliding and the golf. We both really enjoy the orange grove. So, thank you for reminding me how much I can't wait to ride that ride again.
I had to laugh at Brooklyn's "mad" face. :rotfl: I'd hate for her to get mad at me!!

I want to stand by the hippy dippy pool too. Maybe in October for my 45th birthday. Take a moment MeMon when you are standing there and think of all us back here waiting for our turn.:thumbsup2

Good luck with everything this week MeMom! I'm so jealous that you'll be there next week!! :goodvibes :yay:

Lucky duck! I still have to suffer though 2 more weeks before Spring Break. I'm ready because the kids seems to get wilder by the day! I hope I make it!

All of Brooklyn's friends are from Disney!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

No, I think Brooklyn captured mad -- it's Southern mad -- the kind where you are seeing red but still smiling sweetly. I know you know what I am talking about. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

She may have a very few 'other' friends, but most of them are in the Disney family, as it should be. :)

I've used the smile on the outside/angry on the inside face a few times at school.

Love the pics of Brooklyn and friends.

The pics of Soarin were cool, we rode it for the first time this trip and it is now one of our favorites.

Glad to hear that you are getting to go back to POP and have a great trip.

I'm so glad you guys liked Soarin'.

This time next week, I will be talking myself into getting a few hours of sleep before we go to the airport for a 6:30 flight.

loved the updates--Brooklynn's pictures made me smile! have a great week and soon Disney time will be here:cool1:

On top of everything else, I have developed a sore throat and fever during today. I did the Family Math Night, but then I came straight home and called in for a day off tomorrow. I was burning up hot all evening, and none of the other teachers I was working with were hot at all. That's very odd for me, because I'm really cold-natured.

I will keep Disney time in my thoughts through the rest of the week.

Hey MeMom, Lurker from Arkansas, checking in again to say how much I love the updates about your trip and Brooklynn. I too will have a new grandchild in April. His name will be Ty and a perfect Disney friend for Bella. What do you think?
Picture009-1.jpg

Aren't these modern day ultrasounds amazing? You can see just what your baby really looks like and it makes it so much more real.

What's his exact date? Be sure to come back with pictures so we can see how cute he is!

Maybe he and Bella will meet on a Disney trip someday if our trips ever overlap.

what sweet pictures! now i'm wanting pancakes. ;)

hope this week flies by for you, memom.

Being off tomorrow should help in some ways and hurt in others, but I can't really be at school with a fever.

DUH.....I knew it was that sweet baby....but I just wasn't sure about the date. I can't believe it's already time although I know Jill is prob. ready!!! :goodvibes

I can't wait until I can see her when Jill gets up here and feels like getting out! :yay:

LOVE THIS RIDE!!!! :upsidedow
You got some great pictures here!

I love this....I remember as a child doing so many things with my stuffed animals, I had TONS!! :grouphug: And of course I didnt' have a little sister like Brooklynn is going to have to play with now :cutie:

I can't believe your trip is HERE!! SO exciting!!! :woohoo:

I hope you have a wonderful, safe time!!

Jill is very ready to have this baby. We'll let you know when she comes up here to show her off to all my teacher friends.

Brooklynn picked Eeyore and a smaller Eeyore at first, but then she traded the small one in for the big lion. I'm sure she had a perfectly good two year old reason.

You needed to warn me to start my Soarin music...

As for being sad about not going with your girls, it is important that you take care of yourself--you have a tough job and deserve this trip!

This is your last week with students---- right?

I don't deserve it, but I sure do want it. I really have been sad about them not going. I know I'll be okay when I get there and I'll have a great time with Kay, since we so rarely get to cross paths any more, but even just when I think of going to Fantasyland without my little Brooklynn smiling and pointing at everything, I get kind of teary-eyed.

I'm bringing Disney World back to them, though. I'll probably bring them a few goodies, and we're going to have some special Disney Day fun the week after I get back. We've planned an event for Brooklynn and all the cousins to play games and have food and fun together.

Great updates! I love your Epcot pictures - they remind me of my trip with Mum, it was a lovely sunny, but cool ish day and it wasn't too busy and we just really enjoyed wandering around slowly!

I love the middle name Marie you have suggested... if we have a girl, we've now decided her middle name will be Marie - its my hubby's late Mum's middle name. We'd like to use her first name (Linda) but its doesn't go with our first name choices as well as Marie does!

We have an antenatal class all day today - so it'll either be fun and exciting or scary and make me nervous about labour!!!

Have a good day xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm so glad Jill is using her middle name for her own daughter.

Fun, exciting, and scary probably, but there's no turning back now!!!

How did it really go?

feel better!!!!! go get yourself some theraflu and chicken-n-stars soup and knock that cold out before next week! also those zicam spoons that you stir into hot water are great. they knock you out and you wake up feeling better. ;)

Love the pictures of Epcot's rope drop and Soarin'! Hopefully our younest will want to go on Soarin' this trip. He's a bit scared of heights.

Love the pictures of Brooklynn from Saturday! :goodvibes Her eyes are still smiling in her sad and mad faces.

I hope he will ride it and think it is so cool!

She was having fun making faces. She couldn't hold a pose but for a millisecond before she started smiling!

Man we go away for a couple of days to celebrate Declan's b'day and you go all out.

I think I just went through 5 pages while me students were writing a test. You were busy - name dropping, visiting the kin, talking to yourself, and updating us on EPCOT. Even a picture of the golf ball zooming by on Soarin. I'm impressed.

Have a good day MeMom.

Our little boy is growing up! How old is he now? 8?
What kind of presents did he get? Why didn't you tell us so we could have wished him an official Happy Birthday?

Here's to you, Declan:

party: :bday:

I hope it was a good one!

I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures and reading all about your trip this summer, since you guys haven't been since um, I forget...when was it that you were last there??? :rolleyes1

I was at that very same rope drop!

I'm going to look for you in my pics!

I can not believe how grown up Brooklynn looks in some of the pics from this weekend. Wow!

Were you on that side over there? We were about two rows back in the crowd, so I guess we could be in your pictures.

I certainly hope not, though. ;)

I never realized how fuzzy Donald Duck's face is. It's so very cute.

I'm really impressed that you could get pictures while riding Soarin'.

I really, really want pancakes now.

I just snapped over and over and got lucky on some and didn't on others. I was pleased. It was enough to remind me of the ride, and that's what I wanted.

Maybe we should all plan a pancake/talk about Disney breakfast sometime, since there seems to be such an affection for pancakes. And Disney.

Brooklynn is so happy with her stuffies, playing on her swingset.

Wow, the yard is so huge, she has enough room to hold a large DIS picnic.

I took down our swingset last summer, the kids are too big for it and it is a pain to mow around it. I have the sweetest pics of my babies swinging away.

You took some great pics on Soarin, I really enjoyed the ride. I laughed at Jarvis's comment. So true, Disney does a good job of making things seem so real. I bet I even flinched the first time I saw it. :rolleyes1

I AM SO EXCITTED YOU ARE OFFICIALLY GOING TO WDW NEXT WEEK!

You so deserve a nice trip down for yourself. You can always call your sweet girls if you get lonely. I'm sure there will be a character or two to put a smile on your face... perhaps Eyeore :eeyore:

I think a DIS picnic sounds wonderful. Do you know how to get to Boondocks, AL?

I will be on the phone with them a lot. Brooklynn will have a hard time understanding why I'm there and she's not. She thought she was going when her friend's family went, and Jill had to explain that Rosie was going without her. I think that was after Brooklynn had told Rosie she would hold her hand if she was scared on Haunted Mansion. Now isn't that just the sweetest thing you've heard today? :cutie: Brooklynn was going to hold her friend's hand so she wouldn't be scared, and in the end, she didn't even get to go!

when we went with my best friend's DS who is 4, we told him it was like a big swingset. he was a little nervous but he did fine.

It is like a rockin' awesome cool swingset!
I hope Brooklynn loves it when she's old enough to ride.

Great update! you guys had such a great time together. I am so in the mood for pancakes now.. lol
so it is official. I just booked a trip for a short short short weekend in April. I am going from April 24 - April 27th. Since I do not want to waste my DVC points, I am staying at Pop on April 24th and then I will use my points at Saratoga Springs for the 25 and 26th. My client at ESPN gave me two free one day park tickets so Joe will use those and I will go to renew my Annual Pass.... I think we will spend most of the short trip relaxing at the hotel.. we may even go to a water park... I am so excited!!!

Sounds like much fun! Even a short trip is wonderful to me!

I love Brooklynn's emotions! She is too cute! I just love that age where they can start playing little games like that.

We visited both my inlaws as well as my college roommate (and her family) this weekend. I told my hubby this morning that if we are going to be doing any more traveling to Michigan to see family, it's going to need to be a 3 day affair until the baby arrives.

Brooklynn is a lot of fun to play with. It takes me back to when Jill and I did all the same things. Jill used to say, "We are prens (friends), Mommy." I'd hug her and kiss her and assure her we were the best prens ever!

I'm sure you were drained with two boys and growing a baby and all that travel.

Those pictures of Brooklynn are just precious! She has so many friends, shes a very popular girl

I love how she's such a ham for the camera, making all the different emotions! Too cute :cutie:

Well, to be honest, we buy most of her friends. :rotfl:

She's not camera shy. She knows just what to do!

Yes, that was one of the great selling points on our house. The yard is a half acre. There is lots of room to run and play. Last spring we fenced in the backyard so now we can juts open the back door and let the dog and Brooklynn come in and out and play.

Glad plans are still on for you to go next week, MeMom.

Why couldn't I have that job?!?!?

As of this moment, we plan to go.

I don't know about you Jill, but I think having a fenced yard with the ages of our kids was our smartest decision ever. They love the freedom and I love the safety!

Yes, and this one is high and wooden all around, so it is very private. The neighbors had fencing already, and then the back people fenced, so all they had to do was the two front sides. Very nice deal.

It looks like you and Brooklynn had a great time together. Even with her scared and mad faces, she looks happy. I am sorry it will be so long until you see Brooklynn again, but I am glad I will get to read about another trip. So, the trip is definite now? I hope you have a great time.

Definitely probably. ;)

I enjoyed seeing how you and Brooklynn spent your weekend. I remember playing with my stuffed animals that way too!

Yep, fun stuff. I love seeing your little ones in pictures, too.

I'm another who loves Soarin'! It's just makes you feel so free, even if it is simulated! I love going over the ocean with the surfers!

And tell Brooklyn to send some of those pancakes my way!

We're having a pancake party; didn't you hear?
Plain or chocolate chip?

just saw on the news about a man who shot people in three towns in alabama. i think they said southern alabama and i'm thinking jill's in northern alabama. i hope i'm right! jill, you didn't know anyone involved, did you? so sad. :sad2: such a crazy world.

I will be on the phone with them a lot. Brooklynn will have a hard time understanding why I'm there and she's not. I think that is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. :lovestruc I can't believe how fast she is growing up!
