Over the river and through the FUN!

Love the new Brooklynn photos. That little girl is just something special. :) How brave of her for jumping so high!

No bungee jumping for Declan yet but I'm sure he would be up for it.

Our Million Dollar Monday is a storm day, even for me. Seems like the entire city was shut down this morning. Here are a couple of shots from inside our house. The first is looking out our living room window.

The next is our deck, which was cleaned off yesterday.

Glad Sleepy Puppy helped Jill. Do you think that would work for our cat? :)

OH MY GOSH!!! How much snow did you get?? We're in NW Ohio, and I thought we've had a lot of snow this winter, but we're originally from WI so we know snow!

Started around 11 last night and we probably about a foot and a half with lots of blowing snow by this morning. It was really bad, plows were taken off the roads and the police were only responding to emergency call this morning.

Declan and I just came in and we were jumping off our second story deck into the drifts. I could stand on the top of the pile and lift him back on to the deck.

Oh the video of Brooklyn jumping is so darling! She is so cute and I love the serious expression on her face.

Awww, Brooklynn looks so precious!!!!! I love sleepy puppy!! Hollie loves going to Build-a-bear too!

Build-a-Bear is fun! The Build-a-Dino at DTD was quite busy in November, too. I figure we'll give that a try at some point in the future.

Oh the video had me crying....I was so happy for her to be getting to do her little jump and her hair flying up and down was too cute....I cry at everything...She is just so adorable! :cutie:

For some reason all of the sudden she look so grown up in these pics...and I love her sleep dog!

I still have to pick up that DVD. Can you believe I am home with a different sick child today...hence the dissing at this hour. I love that last part about the DVC for all! We would live quite happily! :cloud9:

Oh this is great news! Brooklyn (mine) was having a little trouble at pre-school with being bossy and getting easily frustrated. We set up this whole sticker chart and had lots of talks about other ways to behave etc. Well, the first day she was successful and ever since. She just did a 180. Its funny how they will change their behavior so quickly if motivated.
Jill, I hope you continue to get some much needed rest!:thumbsup2

She is growing up and getting to experience more and more of life outside her house. She loves to go to friends' houses to play, too. She's just a happy, well-adjusted little girl, and it's fun to get to see her try new things.

Sleepy Puppy helped Jill get a full night's sleep last night. Good dog!

Glad to hear the first night was a success! My Liam went through a stretch like that where he got up wandering about 4 months ago (right about Brooklynn's age). In addition to wandering in the middle of the night, he liked to bother his brother at naptime and bedtime. We weren't quite as understanding as you were though. We bought one of those knob covers for his door. I figured, I didn't mind if he was out of bed as long as everyone else in the house got their sleep. The phase ended about 2 months later. Hopefully, Sleepy Puppy gets Brynn over that hump!

It would really be bad if Brooklynn was waking other kids in the house up. Luckily, she at least can't do that right now!

What great pictures of Brooklynn jumping! :goodvibes

My youngest didn't sleep through the night until sometime after he turned 4. :sad2:

That's a long time to not be able to sleep through the night. That had to be hard on you.

Yay for the first night of success!!! Here's to more sleep filled nights!

I agree... on both counts.

That's about how much snow we'll have in seven years around here!

Jill says she's special, too, but she doesn't always say it in a good way. :rotfl:

I can truly say you guys are making me so much more tolerant of our 20-30-40 degree weather here, even though it seems very, very, very cold when I go start the car in the mornings.

I'll have to pinpoint your town on my class map.

So MeMom on this Million Dollar Monday how many days till your spring break trip to WDW?

I need some shopping pictures so I can preplan what I want to buy in June...

I came home ready to cancel the trip today. I was hoping to get my income tax back and a couple of other things done before I left, but it's not looking good for either of those to happen. I'm holding out for the next couple of weeks in hopes of something good happening, but if I need to, I'll cancel before the one week (or six day) mark so that I won't lose my deposit.

Mentally, I need to get away, but financially, it's not the smartest thing to do. I know I'll just cry my way through the rest of the school year if I don't get to go, though. I just found out today that the student who was supposed to be gone the first week we returned after the Christmas break is still in process, and they're sending another interventionist to watch him and want us to do more documentation! If the parents of the other students in my classes knew how much of their children's education has been shot this year due to this one child, they would be in an uproar, yet we still have to keep going through all of this red tape on him. His mother doesn't show up for meetings or refuses to cooperate when she does, and she's just spent the whole year dragging her feet on getting him what he needs because she doesn't want to admit that he has problems. She is not only doing him a great injustice, but her selfishness has done a lot of damage to my whole class this year. I could just cry about it right now, because he has absolutely drained me, and at this point, I know he'll end up being here for the rest of the year. By the time they do whatever the next thing is and get the mounds of paperwork done, it'll be spring break, and then they'll just say there would be no sense to move him this late in the year. You would just have to see him in action to know how difficult it is. He was priority #1 in the whole school in August, and now it is nearly March and nothing has been done.

Sounds like much fun for dad and son!
Was there hot chocolate waiting inside for you when you came in? :)
I hope you guys are staying warm inside!

Oh the video of Brooklyn jumping is so darling! She is so cute and I love the serious expression on her face.

She did get a fearful look that one time. Jill said it was probably best that I wasn't there, because she did have her scared face on a couple of times.

They do make a chipped tooth correction but why spend money on fixing baby teeth she is obviously determined not to keep. Plus I love her little jagged tooth grin. It gives her personality (and we all know how she just doesn't have enough of that:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Sleepy Puppy did her job last night. Brooklynn walked in my room this morning at 6:00 when I was getting into the shower. One night down many more to go. The problem is since birth she has been a terrific sleeper and she chooses now when I need sleep to start waking up.

My son knocked his front top tooth out when he was three. The dentist asked me if I wanted a dental implant to replace it. I thought he was joking. He wasn't. Now my son is almost seven and it has yet to grow back. It will seem weird once it does because we are so used to seeing him without it.

Yes they did and a surprise. I booked our flights (finally!) so we are now officially official.;)

Can you picture yours doing it? It does look like fun!

I'm sure Hannah would LOVE it!

Jill: Glad Sleepy Puppy did his job last night and you were able to get some rest!

Declansdad and Pooksma: I'm amazed at the snow you have! Just glad it's you and not us! I was glad the inch we got over the weekend was melting today! Stay warm!

One inch - a light flurry. :rotfl2:

Actually, the temperature hasn't been too bad lately. We're long past the -30 to -50 days.

Nice!! DH said that he used to do that when he was a kid in WI.

:grouphug: It is sad how one kid takes so much of a room. I have one like that this year... the moms must be related! I hate to think of the time he gets compared to the rest of the class!

Next time Jill comes up for a Saturday, we'll meet you at Opry Mills again, if you want to. We can eat at the food court and hit the Disney Store.
Jill, let us know when that would be convenient for you.

I would love to do that!! :upsidedow

I'm SO glad Sleepy Puppy did her job last night....we will keep her on key and pray that she continues to do as well as she did on her first night 'on the job.'

B/c i know you and little BellaRie need your sleep too :goodvibes

OHHHHHHHHH......could you please send just a little of that to me and MeMom??!!?? MeMom might not want it but if we could just get a third of what you have I think she and I would both be out of work for a few days :upsidedow

And we could go sledding!!!!!

Sweet Dreams BrooklynnsMommy it seems like "Sleepy Puppy" is doing his job.

Declansdad, I feel for you. I am so ready for the snow to be gone. As Canadians we need to just hold out another month or so. If our friends in the south only had to shovel this much snow they wouldn't wish for it....:rotfl2:

I will continue to hope for your student. That he will get the help he needs, and is moved out of your classroom. :goodvibes

If only it was Millionaire Monday, you wouldn't have to think about cancelling your trip. I can relate to less than perfect finances right now, but I am hopeful for us. ;)

Brooklyn went so high on that bungee. To be honest it scared me watching her. My 4yr old climbed on my lap while I was watching the video and said she wanted to try that. I told her we don't have one at our mall and she was rather upset. I liked Brooklyn's crazy hair too. Crazy hair is fun isn't it. She really is a cutie.

I'm glad she slept through the night and hope that continues. It is not fun.

Memom, I hope they can help your student it really is sad for everyone. I understand about finances. I hope you get to go. For your own sake and also for selfish reasons. (so we get more pictures)

Tammy

:rotfl2: I agree. Actually I like the snow but I have a snow blower. :lmao:

Oh MeMom. I'm crossing my fingers for a big tax refund, quickly. You so deserve to go back to Disney. I'm sorry about the way that student's mother is behaving. You would think she would want to do right by her son. This is his education that her selfishness is affecting (and other students!). How tiring it must be for you.

Brooklynn on that bungee is too cute! I love her little puppy, Buld-A-Bear is addictive! I went to the one in NYC to look around, I can't wait until I have kids to take my child there, they go nuts!
