Over the door shoe holders allowed?

In years past we used these to organize our toiletries. Are they still ok to bring?

They are not permiited on doors as they proved to damage them. You can hang them on the hook in the room or in the closet.

While OK in a hotel.... I wouldn't on a rocking boat... especially in rough seas. It would keep me up all night banging on the door.

We used one but hung it from a hanger on the diagonal wall outside the bathroom. Worked great.

I was able to find one online that actually came with a hanger as the hook, not the over the door metal pieces, so that works great hanging it on the hook in the room.

I used a DCL hanger from the closet and attached my "over the door shoe holder" to it w/ zipties, which I brought from home. Hung the whole thing on the hook just outside the bathroom door. (This was on the Wonder). Worked perfectly!

We used strong hook magnets...worked perfectly.

Are the bathroom doors metal? Are they magnetic like the cabin doors?

Just about every wall is metal, along with the doors. The walls separating cabins are metal with a sort of padded wallpaper. Our magnets worked on those was well. I'm not sure about the bathroom walls...never tested those.
