Over the door organizers

I just read somewhere that Disney no longer allows the over the door organizers. Please say it isn't so....we have found this invaluable during our last three cruises.

It is true. No more over the door organizers. Some people have used heavy duty suction cups with success. Others have added clips so they can attach it to a hanger in the closet.

Thanks for the info...I just sorted it out...bought an organizer on a hanger from Amazon.

I wouldn't want it banging against my door when I'm sleeping in rough seas.

I still remember the closet door sliding back and forth on the first night. It was like sleeping in a bowling alley. Found the Velcro lock the next morning!

We take zip ties and hang it on the the towel bar....so it is behind the towels....thus hides everything.

Magnetic hooks work perfectly. Just make sure that they have a rubber backing so you don't scratch the door. If the magnets are strong enough, they'll work on the walls just as well.

Sort of true. You cannot hang it over a door, but if you can find another way to hang it that does not scratch or damage the walls or furniture that is OK. I use zip ties to hang it from the coat hooks that are on the stateroom wall.

I highly recommend these, the walls are metal so then it can be hung anywhere. We put ours where the connecting door would be, it's easily accessible that way!

I picked up a package of those - the small ones - and tried them on my (metal) door at home. They wouldn't hold a hanger with a tshirt on it without sliding off. What size do you get and how much weight do you put on them?

I have the largest/heaviest ones, they hold my organizer no problem. Wreath hangers also work well (I got those at Michaels)

1st - do you think those magnets would hold this filled with toiletries?

2nd - are the bathroom doors magnetic??

It also will hang with the shower curtain on the curtain hooks. No worries about magnets or anything.

I have an organizer that has a built in hanger that I got at Dollar General. I hang it on the hook on the back of the bathroom door in my cabin.

I've hit all the dollar/99 cent stores in Los Angeles, and can't find them anymore! Bummer, because they were great and disposable!

We also have a bathroom organiser that just hangs in our bathroom. It is waterproof material and we got it from Cath kidston. Pretty pattern also! Couldn't live without it now! Also ebag packing cubes are great.

IKEA has over-the-door shoe organizers. They have eyelets and you add the hooks, but you can skip the hooks and just use ribbon. At least they had the organizers last year!
