Outside Vendors...help!!!

Hi everyone,

Our plans have changed drastically in the last two weeks. We were originally planning a Dec 2007 wedding. DF may have the opportunity to enter a training program to become an assistant director (film and TV). Unfortunately, the program does not allow for any scheduled vacations until late 2008. After waiting 8 years, we are more than ready to exchange our vows. We have decided to have a small wedding on Memorial Day. We are going to stay at Disney and have an Illuminations rehearsal dinner. Although our actual ceremony and reception won't be at Disney (historic home in Orlando), I wanted to ask your advice on vendors. I really need a decently priced florist, as well as someone to do my hair and makeup at Disney. We could also use recommendations for live music, but I know that most of you use Disney entertainment. Any help would be much appreciated. With the wedding day only 3 months away, there are tons of things to get done.

I can only help with the hair and make-up. We used Lisa, (formerly of Disney) and she was great. She did both my mom's and mine, and it was perfect. Neither of us wear make-up normally, and she did a great job of making us look natural. And the hair was perfect. Even with getting married at Sunset Pointe in massive wind my hair didn't move an inch. It was perfect until I took it out hours later to go to bed. And everyone's raved about how my hair turned out.

Hey babe-

I'm sorry (and not!) that you're wedding plans have changed. It sounds like an incredible opportunity for the two of you- him to puruse his dreams, and you to be married nearly half a year early! I do understand it compacts all that time you thought you had into a much denser block. It will all be Ok!

For hair and make-up, please look at Anna with Makeover Majic . We were incredibly impressed with her work, professionalism, pricing, and general personality. Keep in mind though one of the most imporant things is how well do you get along with the people? I ran through the whole cosmetology list, and had questions/concerns with all but two of them. Anna was one of them. She's become more of a friend than anything!

For flowers, take a look at Whimsical Wey. They were the inspiration pieces for our wedding. I found out they were in Orlando about 2 months before the wedding! At that point, we weren't changing anything- too much else was changing! HappyLaLaGirl is using them, and has been very pleased with their pricing, professionalism, and offerings. Run a Google search and it should pull the website up. They have a lot you can leaf through by way of galleries, too.

I know you want a live band, and I can't much help you there! Perhaps see if you can find a website listing Orlando talent?
