Hiya,

I have a few questions about our outside photographer and would be interested to hear your opinions. So far we have booked Randy to cover our ceremony and come back in the evening to cover the Dp at Illuminations. I'm thinking of extending the time I have him booked as we've changed locations and we are also having a custom wedding now. The thing is I am unsure what would happen in this time and if it would be worth covering.
There is only 15 of us so it's quite a small group but I think we won't have enough time to cover the cake cutting and DC's that we have booked. Preferrably we would like him to be there for the whole event but I would feel awkward when we would be having our meal. Does anyone know what the etiquette for this is? Do we invite him to join us for our meal? Or ask that he returns for the DP later? I'm unsure what to do?
Also for those who have had a DP and their photographer join them, have you included them in the food and beverage? Do you know if you have to pay for Randy's viewing fee? Is there an escort fee & if you have a videographer as well do you have to pay twice for this?
On the same note does anyone know if we can't meet the minimum numbers do we have to pay for the minimum anyway? We've been told that the minimum is 20 guests but only have 15? So that would mean paying for an additional 5 guests.

Sorry it's a lot of questions but any help would be appreciated?
TIA

We are having Randy do a "custom" package for us. We have 22 guests total. Randy is coming to our ceremony, pics afterwards, then to the beginning of our dinner reception. He is leaving right before we eat-- because we will just be eating for 2 hours, no dancing or anything of that sort. He is meeting us back at Epcot for our DP at 9:00pm.

We did not pay for food & beverage for Randy for the DP. We did not pay a viewing fee for Randy. We are not paying an escort fee for Randy. DFTW is pretty lenient with Randy since he does so many weddings. He is meeting us at Epcot, so I would assume he has an Annual Pass.

I believe that you do have to pay for the "minimum" for the various DP locations, but a Custom/Wishes bride would know the answer for sure.

Hope that helps!

Hi, We are using Randy for our wedding, and he also did our engagement pictures last week. I brought up the idea of doing our e-pics at MK and he told me we would have to pay his admission, so I would assume that he doesn't have a pass. Hope that helps!

We didn't do a formal reception, but I know some people have included Randy during their meal and they pay for a "vendor meal". It is less than a full guests meal as they don't sit still for long, but that way he is included and can eat something light.

And yes, they waive the escort fee for Randy. He is there for weddings several days a week, so he knows how it all works. He knows better than some of the newer wedding planners.

I would just talk to Randy about your questions, He is very friendly and personable and will work with you to get what you want. I wasn't sure about doing the "getting ready" photos, so he did come to the room and walked us through some of those but didn't do a ton, as it wasn't an area of emphasis for us. Just call him and/or Linda. They will make time to talk to you about your questions and concerns !
