Outside photographer at Wedding night Dessert Party?

Hi girls, I had a quick question and figured someone on here would have an answer. I am having a dessert party the night of my wedding. We are getting married at Sea Breeze Pointe and then having a reception in the Boardwalk ballrooms so an outside photograhper is allowed in these venues. The problem I am having is going to be the dessert party. How can I get around the rules and let the outside photographers in for the dessert party? Can I just count them in the guest count and then they would be considered guests who happen to be taking pictures? I just love their photography and don't want to have two photographers on that night. Help!

you probably could lie and cheat your way into it... but i doubt your photographers would be up for it.
most professional photographers will not break disney's rules.

In short, you can't (especially if it is a photographer who takes pictures at Disney frequently, they have to sign a document stating they won't work in the parks or they could be banned from working at Disney again). Disney offers a Dessert Party only photography package for $350.

Is it a Wishes or Illuminations Dessert party? Because Wishes dessert parties are held outside the park, and I recall other brides using outside photography for their Wishes DPs (double check this, but I think it's right). If it's an illuminations DP, you may just need to hire DFAP, which, like Wendy said, is only $350 (this does not include hi-res images, however).

Its an Illuminations in UK Lochside. This is somewhat disappointing as I have seen some of the work of the DFTW photographers and do not what to get one that I am not to impressed with. Does anyone know if the rules have changed since Carrie(LurkyLoo) has had her wedding seeing as how she had The Roots at her dessert party? I guess that is my only option and I would rather have decent pictures as opposed to no pictures at all. Darn.

Yes. The rules changed in '09 or '10. No outside photographers inside the parks.

As you are using an outside photographer for the wedding you still have your family photoshoot/dessert party option with Disney. Just use them - its already paid for afterall.

When we first started planning our wedding in 08 for feb 2009 we would have been allowed an outside photographer for the dessert party. We ended up getting pregnant and not getting married until feb 2011 at which point Studio 222 was not allowed in the parks. We ended up using the Disney dessert party only package and it worked out fine.

They don't allow it anymore because someone in the past broke the rules. Also, your outside photographer will have to sign something saying that they won't shoot in the parks. If they do Disney weddings frequently, they won't sneak in because then they will be banned completely.

Does anyone have a review of just dessert party photographers? I'm on the fence about having one jus for the dessert party. We are having it the night before as 'Welcome/Rehersal' Party so I won't be in my dress, but I still want some nice pictures. Does anyone have any advice?

I would check out the photos of brides who used Disney for their weddings and post the link here. Many of them also have dessert parties, so you can see an entire set of shots from one photographer. Surely, David and Vicky are outside photographers and cannot, therefore, photograph the OP's dessert party at Epcot?

I had Disney photography for the MK bridal portraits and they did a really great job. I would have no problem using them for a dessert party. I just don't know what's include. That may be an issue if you don't get much other than someone taking pictures of you.

I think for the $350 photo package you get a 24 image album..... definitely an album but i forget the # of pics 20-24

We have the $350 DP photography package and we aren't getting an album, just 4 x 6 printed copies of each image.
