Hey guys

My Dw and I took our first Disney cruise September '04. We are both sun buffs and were generally on one of the top decks near the pools most of the day. My question is whether or not there is a place on the outside decks where the Captain's messages on the loudspeaker system can be heard clearly? We attempted setting up camp near the pool, near the outside railing and next to the outdoor bar but were unable to make out more than a few words of his announcements. ( With Hurricane Jeanne bearing down on us on our last cruise, we had to make a dash to one of the inside foyers to hear the Captain!)

Not that we're too lazy to jump up and make a dash for the foyer (well......maybe a little bit lazy.....after all, it is vacation), but does anyone have any suggestions?

Stew - we were on the same cruise I think (ended Friday night instead of Saturday?) and we were in the chairs right outside the spa area and I didn't hear very well either - partly because of the noise. We didn't go inside though, heard enough to know I needed to drag my very sad butt back to our cabin and get packed.

:smooth: I was on that cruise also... We were at the family pool, and my FIL who was at the adults only pool, came over to tell us we were docking that night, and we thought he had lost it... :bitelip:

Boy we could hear zip, and he was more than right.. I also did not hear well on deck 10 while sunbathing...

Some announcements are made over the PA system that can be heard in your cabin and others just in the hallways. I found myself going to the door and standing there trying to hear the announcement and guessing at what I missed.
