Outside Hair & Makeup Vendor??

Hi everyone!

Has anyone used an outside company to do hair and makeup the day of their wedding? I wanted to know if there was an outside vendor charge for this?

Also, wanted to know if you are able to use an outside limo service for the wedding day? I need for the ceremony, reception and dessert party. If you can use an outside Vendor, is there an oustide vendor fee for this too?

Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone!

Hi there... I dont know aboutt he hair and make-up, as i am using disney. But, I am using an outside limo service, and there is no charge for this. It is just your responsibility to coordinate times, etc... with your driver.

I am using Lorden Transportation. They have a website as well *************************

His name is Dennis, and really nice!!!

I used Disney cosmo. and LOVED them! I am glad I had Disney do it...they were fabulous. They came to my room and it was great!

Can I just ask the reason you don't want to use Disney. Just curious. I am sure you can have someone else come to your room or go somewhere else specific if you had that in mind. I don't see how it would be a problem.

OH, I don't have anything against Disney at all. I just found someone online that was cheaper and we need all the help we can get. A little here and there goes a long way, ya know. I do appreciate knowing that disney worked well for you, I may just use them to make it all easy and hassle free anyways. You look like you were a beautiful bride megan926 and I can't wait for my wedding. Need to get one of those nifty tickers for my posts!

PrincessMo---I totally understand about saving all the $$$ possible! Wedding expenses add up super quickly! I am sure if you found someone they will make you look beautiful as well!

I was VERY hesitant to have someone touch my hair (especially w/out a trial run)...but the woman who did my hair (also styles Kelly Ripa when they go down there) put me @ ease and I loved it!

When is your wedding? Where are you having it? Intimate? Custom???

WOW, that's good to know Megan926! You look just like Princess Jasmine btw, beautiful pic on your signature! I am getting married on December 7th, 2005 at the Wedding Pavillion then a reception at the Boardwalk Ballroom and patio, then an Illuminations Dessert Party at the UK lower terrace. I only have 17 people and I hope the big ballroom won't be too itimidating. I don't want anyone to get bored either. I heard someone mention bringing a boombox and somehow hooking it up to the sound system, I hope I can do at least that! I am very excited, I also have the MK photo shoot booked for two days after, well, that saturday the 10th.

What did you do for your wedding? I would love to hear!

How did you find out about Lorden Transportation? Are they pretty reliable? We are renting out the Rolls Royce for our wedding, but are wanting to charter a towncar for our guests to get back and forth from our wedding to their resort and their prices seem cheaper than Disney's.

I, too, am a huge fan of Disney cosmo. I didn't think they would be able to do a very good job with my hair (very thick and curly) without washing it. (To use Disney cosmo, hair has to be washed, clean and DRY when the arrive). So I initially went to the Grand Floridian to have my hair done there. I was only going to have Disney do my make-up. When Serena arrived to do my make-up, she asked if she could "play" with my hair. She did and it looked way better when she was done!!! The stylists at the Grand are not Disney. They are an outside agency!!

Another Disney cosmo fan here!!!

Thanks for the Jasmine compliment. When I worked @ WDW people told me that too!

Illuminations dessert party sounds great! I kind of wish we did that! The MK photo session looks great! We looked into that too...but did do it due to $

Our wedding was so low key! The ceremony was 7/14/05 @ 11am. We had gorgeous weather! (We were lucky b/c it was July) After the reception outside we took lots of photos (both indoors and outdoors). Then DH and I went to Epcot alone to travel "around the world". Around 7 we met our guests @ O'hana for dinner. We had the best time. We had a hula hoop contest, dancing, etc. It was so fun and low key. I loved it. It is not the kind of wedding for everyone though!

Your wedding plans sound great...and Dec. is the perfect time in FL. I would have loved to do it then...but we're teachers, so summer works best.
