I was wondering if anyone else experienced this. When we have stayed at POR in the past we have always brought appliances that needed to be plugged in and we would use the table to set the appliance on, but when we went in Oct. we brought our electric cooler and could not get it to plug in except by the sinks. Did they change the outlet to keep people from using cooking appliances from home or did we have a fluky room. Thanks

Is this because it is a three prong plug?

Kewl, twenty questions.

OK, I'll guess next.

2. Was it because the plug wouldn't stay in the socket?

Were the recepticles other than at the sinks the old style without the larger hole for the polarized plugs?

I can see how that could be a problem. Since the ones near the sink need to be GFCI plugs, they will be able to accept a polarized plug.

Another note, if there are recepticles that are NOT polarized, they have to be pretty old.

Did yo try turning the plug around?

We didn't have any problem.
I don't think they would prevent someone from plugging something in.

My DH uses a CPAP machine and it plugged in right by the bed.
