Outlet Stores

Somebody on an earlier thread mentioned outlet stores for Disney stuff in Orlando. Where are they and are they worth going to? We're going to be in Orlando for 1 full day before we board the boat. We thought maybe we'd do some shopping in Orlando early. Any suggestions?

You bet! There's the Belz Outlet Stores on International drive. They have a Character Warehouse in there(building #1, across from the Reebok outlet building) that has pretty decent prices! DH and I get all our Disney golf shirts there at great prices usually around $19 and below! Of course, it's a hit or miss kind of thing, but we always come out of there with something! They have apparel, toys, pins, and seasonal items.
There is also the Premier Outlet Mall I think it's exit 27 off of I-4, they have the Character Premier store there. You will find about the same merch. as at the Warehouse, but we have been able to find items there that the Warehouse didn't have in our sizes! Again, it's a hit or miss kind of thing.

Not knowing Orlando...are any of these places on the same side of town as the port?

Just to clarify the port is Port Canaveral on the coast. Orlando is middle of the state more or less, so you'll need transportation in any event.

Yes, but are any of these places on the way out of Orlando on our way to the port. We have rented a car and we do hav most of the day to "run around".

I know the Premier Outlet is on the port/east side of Orlando.

There is also (at least as recently as 10/02) a character warehouse at the Lake Buena Vista Outlets which are about 1/4/ mile from the intersection of 417 (toll road from the airport) and 536/535. The store is bare-bones--concrete floor, etc., but they often have the same stuff as the other stores--same price.
