We are a family of seven DD 11, DS's 10, 7, 6 and 4. This is their first Disney trip and we are considering buying souvenirs from one of the Disney Outlet Stores in FLorida. Any suggestions to help us find the best selection. Hats (Caps), shirts and things like that.

Thanks for any help!

The closest outlet to WDW is probably at lake Buena Vista shops or premier outlet. Belz is the farthest away. Look for "character warehouse" or "character corner" We've found decent prices on hats, and shirts at all places . Our June trip was the most disappointing from a souvenier stand point--they really didn't have as much as they have had in the past trips--which for us are off-season.

We had our best luck at the Walmart supercenter in Orlando. There were better prices and better selection compared to the other ones. (I think the one on the John Young) For instance. I bought a Princess hairbrush at WDW for $10 and the same one was $5 at walmart. I was also pissed as it broke about a month later.

So we bought most of our gifts at Walmart. They still say WDW on them with the years and everything. So If you have a rental car I'd say go the extra mile..

We just got back and went to Belz Factory World. It has Character Warehouse where it gets Disney items from the resorts and theme parks. They have t-shirts from most of the resorts and alot of other wdw merchandise. We bought a coat that was $25.00 and saw it at the gift shop in the BW for $75.00! We're definately going back to this shop next year.

We always stop at the Orlando Premium Outlets on Vineland and check out Disney's Character Premier (right by the food court). We always find great deals there on authentic Disney souvineers, clothing, watches, and even those yummy boxed chocolates. I highly recommend it!

The two stores Character Premiere and Character Corner are AWESOME!! I have found things there that they are still selling in the parks yet a lot cheaper. It is all official disney things too, EVERYTHING in the store, it is owned by them. We have gotten great deals there and I spend most of our souvenier money there. We are going there the night we get to Orlando this trip that way we know what they have and can compare with stuff in the parks. Th

The one at Orlando Premium outlets is nice too, selection isn't as large as the other two.

As far as Walmart goes, they are good on some stuff but the quallity lacks in some of it to so you just have to be careful what you buy, especialy I have noticed in clothing.

I was thinking of hitting the lake Buena Vista outlets then having dinner. I looked up the locations of TGI Fridays and there seems to been one really close to the outlet. Has anyone seen Fridays while driving to the Buena Vista outlet? I just want to make sure it's really there and how far away it is.

I have been saving my goldpoint and am hoping to get a $30 Gift card for Fridays to use on our trip.
