Outlet question (the electrical type, not the shopping type)!

I've noticed people put a power strip on their "must pack" list and am wondering if its necessary for us. So the question is:

How many outlets are there is a standard room at the POFQ?

We are not bringing a laptop but will have a portable DVD player that we will hook to the tv, a palm pilot (with a battery that only holds its charge for 30 minutes so it will be plugged in a lot- it has all my Disney info on it), and small speakers for an IPOD. At various other times we will plug in a battery charger for the camera, a charger for the camcorder, our cell phone, a Game Boy, and a Game Boy advance (the kids are not taking those to the parks but we will charge it for the flight home). By my count, we will have about 3 things always plugged in and will also have another 5 or 6 things plugged in but never at the same time (i.e.- the cell phones might only need to be charged once during the week because we will only turn them on if we seperate at the park for a half hour).

I have never used a power strip on vacation because there are usually two or three double outlets avalable in the room.

Thanks.

If I can recall there is a double outlet behind the nightstand, but is used by the alarm clock (and maybe the light fixture).

There is another double outlet by the little table.

There is also another double outlet behind the armoir, but hard to get to and mostly taken up by the TV.

There is a double outlet in the bathroom, but used by the hair dryer and coffee pot.

We just find it easier to bring a power strip, then can line everything up on the little table.

I actually bring a power "squid". It looks like a squid, with 5 tentacles coming off it, each of which is a plug.

I found with the power strip, if I had a plug that was big, like some of the chargers are, it overlapped into the next plug on the strip.

With the squid, you don't have that problem.

We've been to the world over 50 times and never carried one or thought we needed one. Even with DS "Mr. Gadget" going with us, we've always had plenty of outlets.
