I know there are hairdryers, but they look like the kind that don't do much. Also we use sonicare toothbrushes, and they don't hold enough of a charge for the whole week for 3 people. Does anyone know if there is an outlet in the bathroom?

There's an outlet for I think electic razors. I had to use my blowdryer out at the sitting area.

Do yourself a favor...pack one of those 6 plug power strips...one plug in the bathroom and one in the cabin....not enough for three...

Yes, you'll find a powerstrip handy. Between hairdryers, cell phone chargers, toothbrushes, digital cameras, etc, a power strip will be handy.

You need to do more than just consider it if you bring your hairdryer with a large plug. I have found if you have this type of plug on your dryer that the outlet is to close to the wall on many ships and won't plug in without an extention cord or strip. Hope this helps.

FYI, I was not able to use the outlet in the 1/2 bath with the toilet but was able to use the outlet int the 1/2 bath with the shower. The two are different voltages, with the shower one being "standard". This disappointed us after bringing a nightlight that did not work in the bathrooms with the toilet.

How am I supposed to curl my hair? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The outlet in the bathroom is limited amperage - they are serious about razors only. The power strip at the desk can handle most anything. Given how many things need to be plugged in bring an extension cord or power bar to make it better.

There is also an outlet behind the bed that the lamps on the nighttables are plugged into. You can plug into it ( I did) - but you have to be prepared - it is a 220 volt European plug. I brought a converter and extension cord with me to plug to use it. Just remember to slide the bed out and plug in before you stash all of the empty suitcases under the bed.

why not just pack 3 'old-fashioned' toothbrushes....seems like a lot less trouble for one week than packing the sonicare (which we use at home as well) and a 6 outlet power strip. Other than a laptop to download/view photos we didn't plug anything in any outlet...both DW and DD dealt with the blow dryer with no problem. Unless you have 'big' hair, it seems to me it should be more than adequate. Either that or we must just have the pioneer spirit.

Much of what I say above is tongue-in-cheek, but, I'm often amazed at the amount of 'stuff' people bring on a cruise (or any vacation for that matter). Too much trouble for me....
