Outlander fans: An Echo in the Bone ... spoilers possible

OK guys, a while ago, we had a thread about how excited we all were for the new book. Did you buy it? Did you read it? Are you finished with it?? Do we want to discuss it? I volunteer to post a few discussion questions each week, if we are all ready to start a discussion. Or we can wait, if not enough of us have finished yet.

I read it in about 5 days. I plan to go back in a month or two and re-read it, and see if I missed anything.

I have been reading this book since last week. I put in 3 days of reading. I have avoided it since. Haven't read it in 3 nights in favor of any magazine I could find. Totally not like me!!! I am having such a hard time with this book.

Anyway, I'm sure as soon as I finish it, I'll be anxious to chat about it.

I found it a bit slow-starting as well.
Also I find that the political intriques and machinations of the Revolutionary War don't interest me very much, and there was a bit too much of that in this book. Kind of reminded me of all the political stuff in Dragonfly in Amber, which I also had troubles with.
I promise you it gets better though!

I posted about this a couple weeks ago when I read the book. The general consensus was that the book was slow and hard to read. Hopefully the next one won't take years and is better.
