I am having my reception at the Whitehall Room and Patio, and extending it so the reception will be about 8 hours long. A also want to spend alot of time outside, on the patio. For this reason I want the patio to look as pretty as the inside of the room. So, I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with :)

1. DF wants silver chivari (sp) chairs indoors, can I swap the banquet chairs for chivari chairs outdoors too?

2. Can I have overlays on the cocktail tables outside?

3. Howe many table/chairs are there outside?

4. What other outdoor decor could I add?

Hi Caroline.

We were having our pre-reception outdoors at the Boardwalk (before it was 100 degrees and chances of rain lol). We were having chivari chairs, high tables with overlays and centerpieces with floating roses. Eventually some of that got cut from the ch for financial reasons but it was still available. You can have any of the items you have indoors outdoors as well. If there is a chance of rain they will move it inside.

One thing I added to my reception room that I think made it look pretty were the ficus trees with twinkle lights. Disney does provide these but I got them from an outside vendor for half the price;) That could look nice outside but the whitehall patio is nice on it's own...I actually considered it before choosing the Boardwalk and have pics from my site visit if you need.

I love these! Who was the outside vendor you used for this?

I would like to know as well. We're having our reception in the Boardwalk ballroom and I liked the pictures of the trees from your reception. I was half thinking of going to Michaels and buying them for half that price and giving them out for favors for our Florida resident guests :rotfl: with lights bought on sale the day after Christmas. I can't believe what WDW wants to charge!

Ooh I think fiscus tree's outdoors is a great idea. I knew I wanted them for indoors but didn't think about having them outside too. Your right, they are mega expensive from Disney and I would also like to know the vendor you used please?

Thanks
