Does anyone know the address of the Wyndham Outback Steak house that Simon V refers to in the book update.

Thanks

Its located in the Wyndham Resort & Spa hotel at Downtown Disney. I dont know the exact address, but its well signposted and hard to miss...its enourmous!!

Its nothing to do with chain of Outback Steakhouses either apparantly...We are curious, and may give it a try this year.

Now I am stuck, because I thought it was part of the chain, we discovered the outback restaurant when we were in Sarasota and to be honest can't remember that much about the meal apart from the Blooming Onion. I know that we really enjoyed it though and have always said about going back. At the moment I am trying to work out which restaurants we should go to whilst we are in Orlando and which when we are in Naples (actually Marco Island).

We are not veterans, we haven't been to Florida for about 7 years. We used to live in DC and when we were in Florida we used that opportunity to visit some of the restaurants that we used to frequent in our dinky days. We have definately got the Cheescake Factory on our list in Orlando because there isn't one in Naples, however, we could leave the Outback until we get to Naples. Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Thanks

There are lots of Outbacks in the Orlando / Kissimmee area, so if thats what you are after, its not a problem. The nearest one to WDW is at Lake Buena Vista.

We LOVE the Outback, and it was always a firm fave with all our FLorida trips. However, by a stroke of luck, one has opened up within 1/2 mile of our house in the UK so its not one of our first stops in FL anymore!

They still serve the Blooming Onion and their BBQ wings are the best anywhere!!

Flipping heck, next time you are in there can you ask them to open on in Northampton please.

That reminds me of when we first got back from living in DC (5 years), whilst looking for a restaurant in the yellow pages I came across a number for TGI's, I was ecstatic, we used to eat there about once every couple of weeks. When I rang I found out that it was the head office, I was so disappointed. Mind you we don't go there now they are all over because in comparison to the US, the service is lousy and so is the food. We have now found this fantastic restaurant in Northampton called Buddies, just like a typical diner and the food is fab.

Allie I'm jealous, my nearest Outback's about 175 miles away. I love those Bloomin' Onions! (Sent you a PM)

Thank You Miffy2003!!!

Jana and I had a great meal in the Outback in the Wyndham. It is a couple of notches up from the perfectly adiquate chain of Outbacks and the prices are a little higher to match the higher quality. When we went it was because we had the entertainment book and there was a coupon of buy one get one free meal, which kept the cost down to a sensible level.
